I just loved all the symbolism when Loki finally became Thd God of Stories and his version of the Loom is actually a growing tree meant to be yggdrasil (The World Tree) from norse mythology. It's such a smallish but awesome detail that really works for the ending.

35:00 lets not forget - Thor is around 3000 years old. and Loki is close to his age. so 100 or 500 isn't like an impossible scale to him. it'd be equivalent to like 30 years for humans - which is a lot... but it's not "unnatural" for him to still live after that many years

Fun fact, when after Loki took hold of all the timelines, the camera pans out to show that the timelines now resemble Yggdrasil, the world tree. In Norse mythos, Loki was imprisoned in under Yggdrasil for his wrongdoings, and now similarly in the MCU Loki has also been imprisoned, but instead of being under the roots of the tree, he is now essentially the root of it. I'm just writing all these with minimal research, yall should look it up, just thought it was a cool thing that a lot of people miss

This show was amazing for so many reasons. But I think the best thing about this show is how it develops one of if not the most influential character in the MCU. Other than Iron Man, Loki had the greatest impact on the timeline, mostly in a bad way but still. And to see the original antagonist that caused the formation of the Avengers have a redemption arc, come to regret a lot of the things he did, become a better person, and make what one can assume to be the ultimate sacrifice(without just dying) was so satisfying. I just hope that somehow in a future film this Loki and current MCU Thor meet......hopefully without one or the other dying as a result. Just let them continue living knowing the other is still alive and well......and that that Loki isn't exactly MCU Thor's Loki.

"The last thing I want is a throne!" Loki weaponized his 'losing' for the betterment of all, even if by accident. The moment he realized and verbalized that he didn't want a throne, he got it. This is my favorite show of all time. Not just favorite MCU show, but every show. His character growth should be studied by all future filmmakers as how to properly grow a character. It wasn't perfect, but he got exactly where he needed to be by the end, and it had a significant impact on the outcome of the story. In many ways figuratively and literally, Loki truly is the God of Stories.

I really loved this but I'm left curious why the new timelines were dying after destroying the loom. The loom wasn't always there, he who remains built it, so how did the branches survive before? why do they now need Loki as a powersource?

For how good Loki was, it's a shame that Marvel/Disney fumbled the multiverse saga. I still feel the biggest hit to the saga was Major's sex scandals. He was such an amazing actor in the role, and yet he's a horrible person. I can't get into the movies too much, but Disney's failure was their attempt to pander to different groups of people and failing to understand that audiences do not like to be pandered to (outside of comedies.) Can't wait to see Alecia react to more of the MCU films, regardless of their quality And Moonknight, I cannot wait to see her perspective on the character.

I know a lot of people will talk about how cool the ending is so i'll just share this factette :) Remember how they said renslayer was the one who commanded the army? What do you want to bed she was the one who wielded Alioth. Which means that Renslayer died by her own sword .. Which I think is pretty poetic because all of what lead her to that rose from her own tyranny and obsession with control.

The branches weren't dying before the loom was built. That's why the multiversal war happened. He who remained built the Loom as a failsafe for the sacred timeline, meaning that if it ever would blow up, it would take all other branches with him, leaving only the sacred timeline.

Fun Fact: Tom Hiddleston came up with his final lines to Mobius and Sylvie. Before shooting that scene, the directors had him go off and think about what he wanted to do/say. He ended up listening to the original Thor soundtrack and dwelled on the moment where Loki hangs from the Bifrost. "I could've done it father, for you, for all of us'"

i hope so SO much that Alicia recognized, like i have, how the tree shown after Loki takes his throne, is Yggdrasil, the World Tree of norse mythology. if i recall correctly, said to carry all of the worlds in its branches. now, here, every branch... is a branching timeline. absolutely stellar work, and one of the best things Marvel's made lately

On a side note , in this episode that give an explanation into why their are no direct mutants in the MCU , The Kid Mobius fails to prune on the Sacred Timeline around the blacksea was likely a Young Apocolypse , the Villain in X-Men Apocolypse said to be the first mutant every born , which is also likely why the kid kills three hunters before he got pruned.

On a side side note, they also give a subtle hint as to why this timeline was chosen by He Who Remains as the Sacred Timeline , in the one where the varient is Victor Timely , the Good Version of him , but more importantly the one whos born in a time where without any intervention , he kinda just fizziles out, hes too ahead of his time and without intervention he lives a simple life as a candle maker , he wants to make things better for other people with novel inventions but like howard stark hes trapped by the technolgy of his time

It might be me attributing things that arent there. But notice how when we get the last look of Loki, how some of them cross the screen in a way that is very reminiscent of rope or chains. His prison. His burden. He choose it himself, but its such a sad thing in essence. But it wouldn't be a great sacrifice if it wasnt I suppose.

That wasn't a misprint BTW, Loki officially turned into a mare in the tales then got knocked up for the sake of a distraction. Odin was riding Sleipnir at the start of the first Thor movie. Loki is also a parent to the world serpent Jormungandr, the goddess of death Hel, and Fenrir, the huge wolf Hel ressurects in her movie.
