Fun fact: When stuck on a deserted island with his family, Jar Jar's dad tried to get him to swim for help, knowing that he wouldn't make it and would die. His wife stopped him, though. Then, after the turmoil of being stuck with Jar Jar on an island, he pulled out a gun to kill himself and, to stop him, his wife told him to "think of our children," which caused him to think about Jar Jar and pull the trigger.

If you pay attention at the end of last episode, they both used the Force to swap their drinks with the pirates sitting next to them which causes the two pirates to immediately pass out. What they did not count on is for all the drinks to be drugged The Princess Bride style because that's how hard these pirates like to party.

It was either that or the pirates they swapped their drinks with put in their own personal stash of fun drugs in them. So while they avoided the roofies, their Jedi bodies with zero drug/alcohol tolerance probably couldn't cope with the other two's fun night out cocktail.
