hold on. if vital instruments and trash beast cores have the same accumulated energy (don't remember the exact name/term right now), but a vital instrument relies on being taken care of and being cared for by their giver... can a vital instrument turn into a trash beast if it's abandoned?

I think it would depend on the specific circumstances in which the Vital Instrument was abandoned. It's implied that the Trash Beasts occur because of the negative emotions that accumulate in those areas (which seems to hint at the fact that the Spherites might be literally discarding negative emotions along with their trash when they dump it into the pit.)

You can really tell the mangaka was the successor to soul eater, not even because the stories have similar power systems... They both have character's who use weapons wrongly: Death the kid used his guns upside down & now we have Riyo Using her scissors with her feet. If I knew more about Soul Eater I could probably find more parallels

There is also a lot of similarities with fire force (Duh it's made by the same dude) which is cool since it was around fire force's making she became the mangaka's successor. You can especially tell with the facial features that they took a lot of their work as an editor for fire force into their own manga
