I think it's so fitting how Gojo's understanding of his feelings towards Marin are progressing. The first time he calls her beautiful, it's basically solely a subconscious thought, something he mumbled while practically sleep. The second time he says it, this episode, it's like a reaction - still not something he's fully aware of, but it finally bridged to his consciousness, rather than remaining subconscious. I hope that the next time he says it, he'll say it with intent and a full understanding of what he means. Also, Alicia bringing up the photobooth story, only to have the anime immediately show the photobooth, then having the anime basically replicate Alicia's story is genuinely CaseOh levels of comedic timing. Couldn't have planned it better if she pre-watched.

Wow, just wow! CloverWorks took one of the most moving sets of events in the manga and turned the dial up to, not 11, more like 18! That was emotional enough in the manga but in motion it just hits sooo much harder. Marin won a whole lot more than she thinks she did. I love that they spent so much time on the makeup scene. To me those scenes have always felt the most emotionally intimate peaks of the show. The care Gojo takes and the trust Marin has in him is so moving. For the first time we get to know Gojo’s thoughts on Marin’s appearance. Sure, he’s subconsciously let it slip before. But this was rational self reflection. W Marin might use Morita-kun for the model on walking and posing, but she uses Gojo for the rizz! Gotta love it!

Honestly that's how you know the romance is going somewhere. Though I've seen the take, one I don't really disagree with, that this is a slice of life cosplay manga/anime with a romantic B plot. Gojo needs to be able to self actualize bit by bit so he can realize he has feelings for Marin and with each costume he gets a bit closer to that. He's kind of like Yusuke Urameshi in that regard. Yusuke only gets his major power ups when he emotionally matures and comes to understand his feelings and that he needs to learn to give a crap about others like they do him.

What I love is I get to enjoy watching this twice a week.I get just as hyped waiting to watch with Alicia as I do getting hyped to watch it when it drops on crunchyroll. Also I think he realized his feelings and it hurt him because he feels he can never be with her since in his word "she's in a whole other world" then him. Hope he gets over it. Best Couple Ever!!!!!

I will never understand why Gojo just didn’t buy the rainbow rose. ¥1000 is just $6 and there is no world where you will convince me that the rose he got plus the paint needed didn’t cost more than that. And even if he already had the paint the time included for painting it isn’t worth the $4 difference when he could be working on the cosplay, there is no way painting it himself was the economically viable option.

EXACTLY! That went through my head every time the price came up. Not just the time and effort cost, either: The materials for all the rest of the cosplay would also have added up to way more than that. They even sprung for fancier material for the suit, and Gojo even remade (at least part of) the whole suit on a whim to resize it... Not to mention, with Marine's eating habits, her daily expenditures probably dwarf the cost of the rose...

Hey so not sure if anyone pointed this out but if you didn't notice, Marin was wearing her hair in twintails this episode. Previously she said she didn't think she could pull that off until Gojo said she'd look good in them so she did it for the cosplay. But now she's progressed to doing them as just a casual look for her. I love little stuff like this from series.

i really love how realistic the characters are in this, like all Marins friends with Gojo, they might tease and make fun a little but its clearly not in any sort of a bullying way, and since they already knew Marin and she brought Gojo into the group they get to know him and accept him....the whole thing is adorable
