Something I find very interesting is how Hancock is resting her head on Rayleigh's leg. My theory is that she's actually the daughter of Rayleigh and Shakky. Though her and her sisters did live with them for months to over a year after they were freed from slavery. So it might just be her viewing him as her father figure.

So many people didn't realise that Luffys DREAM is NOT to become king of pirates but something after that. He is always saying that he WILL become king of pirates not that he wants to but that he WILL. Oda got tired of people misunderstanding Luffys dream and wrote this scene to say it is 100% something different which comes after he becomes the king of pirates.

People were going nuts over her missing Shakky was a former Kuja empress, but can we talk more about how the new Pacifistas are absolutely insane. They're already matched to Warlord level as children, by the time they grow up and master their abilities these shits will be Admiral level, at the least. I honestly hope Oda doesn't write himself into a corner or nerf them to keep it from happening, he made some characters with crazy good story potential. Also, casually getting to see Imu and the Five Elders commiting straight up genocide in 4K was insane when this episode came out, the world gov have kinda been pushovers since we started the new world, its good to remind us why these people have ruled for 800 years and what they're willing to do to keep it that way.

The presentation of the saraphims is vague enough that you cannot be 100% of what they are or how they were made. I remember that at the time this chapter came out, this was the leading theory but it was just that. For that reason, I think you should not just flat-out confirm and explain what was clearly presented as some sort of cliffhanger (this is exactly the same suspense and mystery of when the original pacifistas were presented on Sabaody). It will be explained clearly later. I think you should remove that part from your comment. You should know that there is a zero-tolerance policy on spoilers.

That's probably not it. Might be related, but it's not his dream per se. For example, we know that becoming the king of pirates seems to be a prerequisite of his dream and certainly "feeding all his friends" has nothing to do with it.

How are those two exactly related? Phobias are irrational and yes, throughout the part of descending to fishman island she was also distressed. She was evidently shocked at Lulusia, so I don't really understand what "valid" reaction you were expecting.

Wings! The question of how the WG nuked Lulusia kingdom is a mystery but the leading theory in the community is that what they used is one of the ancient weapons - Uranus. We've seen Poseidon on fishman island a royal mermaid with the ability to command the sea kings and we know that Pluton is some kind of ship buried in Wano and that franky had plans for during enies lobby but Uranus is still a mystery so a weapon capable of completely erasing an islands land mass fits pretty well. Also explains how the WG has remained in charge for 800 years if they're willing to use it, makes you wonder how many other countries "never existed in the first place".

luffys dream has always been vague. Itsw what was hinted at on ep 1015 that his dream is the same as rogers and now explains why luffy wants to be king of the pirates. Becoming king is just a means to an end.

Shakky is 64 and generations are roughly 20 years apart. Boa currently has been empress for more than 10 years and the empress before would’ve served roughly 20 years. So Shakky would’ve been her 20s and early 30s as empress before she quit early to be with Rayleigh.

I think it's a reach.... Oda planned a lot of stuff, but also , as still a human being, changed, retconned and adapted stuff. Imo there was no misunderstanding, Oda changed plans, which is fine, but did it very well as a immensely skilled writers and expert at not only retcons, but tying loose ends and older threads. Until i see some "proof" like it happened for some of the other foreshadowing, i don't buy it yet as something planned before that scene with Ace and Sabo. But again just my opinion, so far

She has reacted like that, through various degrees, whenever there are those shots of darkness within deep waters, like when the ship was travelling deep underwater towards Fishman Island. Or shadowy figures within dark deep water

Thank you, I understand that too. I thought the same too, but I usually warn people who comment on potentially unsafe stuff for their sake because potentially getting banned for something like this sucks. Even if something might seem obvious, the fact that WE know what is or isn't, means that comments stating something implicitly "spoils" Alicia of that confirmation that we ourselves didn't have at the time. I don't think it's a big deal for myself, but alicia often get pissed off by stuff like and people don't usually expect that.

It wouldn't be a retcon even if Oda cooked up the dream few hundred chapters in. Like I said Luffy has always said that he will become the pirate king. To my knowledge he has never said that it is his dream or that he would "want to" become pirate king he has always been certain that he will. His dream on the other hand is something that he is unsure about in terms of if he can do it. Also I fully believe this dream has existed long before Oda even started one piece, it's like the one piece and the series ending which were both made up in Odas mind as soon as he started drawing this story.

He only told Sabo, Ace...and SHANKS. After which Shanks was willing to give up his hat, Gol D Roger's hat and arm in support of that dream. One that gave Shanks no doubt whatsoever that Luffy would one day be great. It was never about being the King of the Pirates, it comes down entirely to belief, trust, and patience. While not entirely the focus, One Piece often shifts to ideas of inheritance not in blood, but in cadence through merits and action. I wonder if old Rogers said something similar... Shanks wants to see change. He's always pushing for it in some way and will even step into the middle of wars if he needs to in order to change the trajectory of the world. This is a big development. Far more than I think any of us realize at this point. Hawkeye called it when he said to Shanks, "What sort of monster took that arm of yours?" and Shanks just waved it off saying it would be worth the price.
