Goated ending to that whole final fight, Deku with the wind at his back from everyone who've supported him on his journey vs a guy who exploited and threw everyone by his side away, and the mom cheering on the final blow is mwah, cinema. Please tho Alicia you've skipped four or five season openings and endings in a row, we need a full OP/ED list react once this is over ❤️‍

Man and so many people hated on Deku when he said he wanted to save Shigaraki when he never said he would absolutely save him he acknowledged Gran Torino saying sometimes you can only save someone by ending them and Deku never said he wouldn't end Shiggy just he wanted to save him idk maybe I'm biased cuz Superman is my favorite hero but I feel Deku would definitely get Supes seal of approval

well i guess many had probles with what comes after, and some misstranslated pages. But as always the most vocal are not always true fans, or even the most numberous.

ngl the 3 best moments imo in this season gotta be Final Boss Bakugo ofcourse and maybe more of a oddball but the 2 times we see Invisigirl popping off cuz her team up with Aoyama was onpoint along with incredible voice acting

How they must be incorporating those extra chapter plus new content which I'm not against as long as its Horikoshi signed off ill take it but that seems like a lot but not overkill I feel they could've done 11 with the next 2 expanding aftermath stuff then an extra episode of new stuff the author signed off on maybe stuff he wasnt able to implement with deadlines etc

You can´t just always write of criticism as "not true fans". People are allowed to have complaints about something they or you like.

I'm guessing the breaks the author took for their health extended the chapter wait time by a while and having chapters upon chapters of fighting got exhausting and disappointing, works tremendously in anime form tho imo

Exactly Setsuna, that's the biggest problem with alot of entertainment discussion today, sure there are trolls, bigots, and grifters tbat cause alot of unnecessary strife, but just because someone has a similar opinion that might align with them, doesn't mean they are coming from the same reasoning or aren't a "true fan" to complain or hate!

I think that's the play here Daniel is to incorporate those epilogue chapters and maybe expand on them with the extra run time.

Not sure how it came out for the English translations, but for the Korean translations there were a lot of lines that could easily be misunderstood. The lines didn't explicitly prove the criticisms, but they also weren't clear enough and that's where most of the misunderstandings came from. It was "fixed" later when the hard copies came out with Horikoshi going back and adding more stuff. Judging by how much of the season is left (assuming it'll be 12 episodes), we'll probably getting some more stuff on top of that as anime original. + there was criticism for the schedule due to Horikoshi's health declining, having to take longer breaks with chapters being shorter, but that shouldn't really be a point of criticism if you care for the series and the author.

going through this last year through the manga and again this year through the anime has been such a cool experience, glad the anime has made the ending a lot more posative with anime fans then the origional negative twitter fans. I think Deku's "destroy you did" could also be a reference to how the problematic past hero society was also "destroyed"

Ah yes, the sunrise countdown arc of my hero academia, except instead of stalling time for the sunrise, they stall so Deku can finish the guy

Izuku's first Smash was in the entrance exam, when he saved Ochako. Deku's last Smash was here, when he saved the world. And if you watch them side by side, you'll notice that his punch has never changed since then - it's the exact same form as when he first swung his fist to protect another person.

This is an apt comparison. A rabid dog isn't at fault for becoming rabid but the stuff it does when it is rabid, and the danger it causes to those around it means it has to be put down. A villain's initial push into that life usually isn't their fault (completely) but they keep making the choice to be villains after that first push and they are still causing trouble for others so need to be dealt with.

A lot of us weren't. A lot of us loved this ending. It's the moron minority with big stupid mouths that made it seem that way and ya'll should know by now not to listen to 'em.

I usually hate the trope of the villain secretly being responsible for everything (Bleach, I'm looking at you). However, this time it doesn't feel like making it up whole cloth: it feels like it both fits the way AFO operates, and it justifies why Decay is purely destructive with no upside. From the first moment we get AFO as just the 'Sound Only' master, he's seen to be grooming Shigaraki. He was right there for Shigaraki immediately after Decay destroyed his family. It's not dissimilar to what he tried with Dabi. It actually fits, in a way that doesn't rewrite the lore, but fills the holes.

when i say "not true fans" its the people that write death threads to the author or other people, people that hurt others, how can you be a true fan, and act that horrible to other people?
