Same. It's kind of frustrating to see so much leeway for Steve over being brokenhearted, but not Jonathan for (at the time) going through the trauma of having his brother kidnapped while also being the head of the household. They both sucked, but Steve could have put Nancy in so much danger with what he did.

Oof, I hated Breaking Bad, HATED it. No spoilers to be fair, I think it's well made, but what others seem to enjoy about it are reasons I absolutely despised the whole thing. Like if a meal was really well made with good ingredients and the chef made it exactly how it should be made, but all those things are something that I just hate the taste and texture of. I think it's really telling that I watched absolutely all of it, except the final episode. I watched 61 episodes of it and thought to myself "I don't care how it ends, the only way I could enjoy the finale is if it isn't Breaking Bad" and just never watched it. Sadly, it was a Breaking Bad episode, I was spoiled later...

Because I'm stubborn and it was nearly 13 years ago, I still had time on my hands. But to be honest, I'm pretty sure I would have quit at season 2 already, but my friends kept telling me "It gets better" for some reason and I most likely just chose to finish watching it JUST so nobody could tell me I didn't give it a fair shot.

I didn't watch Breaking Bad as it aired, but some time after it had ended AMC decided to have a marathon of all the episodes in a row without pause. I decided to watch the show then and basically binge it all in one sitting. By the time it ended I felt like a drug addict with how sleep deprived and sore everything felt. Great show. Don't recommend watching it that way though.

one cool thing with this episode and show in general is, steve was gonna die in this episode apparently. he WAS gonna be the typical 80s popular jerk. and he basically convinced the duffer bros 'hey what if he just seemed that way but had more to him'. so he basically talked his way into being a main part of the cast. and trust me, yer gonna be glad of that.

This was so much fun. Experiencing Season 1 of this again alongside Alicia, Key and the community was just awesome. The part about this episode that always stands out to me is that during the scene with Hop Joyce and Will, Hop puts HIS mask on Will instantly. Putting the kid above himself.

I almost forgot another fun fact about this season: Steve was originally going to be killed off as stereotypical of guys who fit the mold Johnathan thinks Steve is, but Joe Keery said “what if we did the stereotypical jock thing… but he’s actually likable?” Thus the immortal fan favorite known as Steve Harrington was born

To be fair she probably has some bias in favor of Steve since he is a more attractive then Johnathon… More attractive people get MUCH more leeway when they do something wrong, That probably why she likes Steve more. Also Johnathan isn’t a bad guy by any means. Steve has a Great arc & is my favorite but yeah he can be a d-bag sometimes but tries to learn at least.
