Billy’s actor is younger than Steve’s actor by 2 years, so you can’t really complain about his age XDDD

Kenrur

funny thing is that Billy is 2 years younger then Steve . and the same age as jonathan and Nancy irl

Americans and their guns...

Joseph CroenianGamer

its so sad cause Bob's advice is actually a good one, he just have no way to know this is not just a nighmare, is an eldrich corruption from the mirror world, how the fuck would you know that?

Yovan_Night (Purple Rain🟪)

Bro, Bob was just trying to help Will out with his nightmares with his own experience. You know, give some confidence that he’ll be able to overcome them! It was a genuinely good and kind thing to do. He just has no idea how real those nightmares are.

Vikkiloo

3 episodes without Alicia recognizing Bob's actor... I'll keep counting.

Joseph CroenianGamer

Alicia, the black panthers are back, in Canada or USA, to be anti gun YOU NEED GUNS, its paradoxical and fucked, but sorry, thats the world now.

Aliulo

I think Rich getting the WW2 gun is cool. Not because it's a gun, but because it's super old.

Yovan_Night (Purple Rain🟪)

Dustin was dumb af in this episode, bro😭 what do you MEAN you want to keep a creature from the upside down?? The same upside down that almost took Will off the census?? Shit’s way too risky for no reason. Plus, why wouldn’t you get rid of Dart if it causes Will that much distress?

Shank Mugen

Children aren't known for being paragons of logic

Yovan_Night (Purple Rain🟪)

Obviously, but when your friend who almost died in an alternate dimension is freaked tf by something that ALSO came from that dimension, why the hell would you keep it?

Yolo Samurai

Next time on Alicia's channel, Alicia and Key put their friendship to the test in Mario Party 5! 😂😂😂

Hopper's wildest move in this entire series was skipping over the Supertramp record for Jim Croce. It's a great song, don't get me wrong, but Supertramp is as music as music gets

Immeasurably Me

The actor who plays billy was 21 when this season aired. Possibly 20 when filming. So crazy for her to attack him for "looking 30"

Talk to Rich about the guns. This will be a long rant, but you want to have kids and I don't want kids killing themselves on accident, so I'll fucking rant. This is from my own experience with guns talking and from a perspective of someone from a country with sensible gun laws, where we have guns but very low gun death rates. I'm not against owning a gun nor do I think guns should be illegal, but anyone saying a gun in the house is for safety is wrong. I've lived in a house with a gun most of my life and I've got hunters in the family, so I've been around guns in general. The first thing I'll promise you, the gun will not make you safer, that was the first thing I was taught about us owning a gun. That's a fantasy that doesn't happen, because unless you are carrying it, you won't have access to it if attacked, unless you knew the danger was at the door before it tries to enter the house. One gun? Self defence, but only if properly trained and prepared to use it and in very specific scenarios, which will never happen. Two guns? Entirely unnecessary and just a hobby which increases the likelihood of accidents for friends and family, not just the one whose hobby it is. Especially dangerous if you are planning on having children. And A GUN SHOWCASE? Yeah, that's worse, unless done properly. For a lever action rifle? A gun so simple you can figure how it works by playing with it? I'd only approve if he agrees to neuter it and either lock up parts of it elsewhere or destroy them. Because just storing the ammo and it's parts in the same place is like showing a kid "Here's some suicide Lego!" Gun displays are only for guns under constant supervision or for guns made permanently inoperable. Call me overly concerned, but if I even knew where a gun was as a kid, I would ABSOLUTELY gone and tried getting my hands on it. A display is like the big red shining button and kids KNOW it's the ONE THING they HAVE to press, no matter what. Because guns are cool, putting the deathly and super cool thing on display is more likely to get the kids attention than literally asking them to pay attention. I get that owning one can bring some level comfort for any type of celebrity, but if you are already saying "more and more" then that's just asking for trouble. Every gun is like a radioactive particle, it has a half life until it causes an accident. It might never happen or it'll happen in the next 100 years or tomorrow, but on average it will happen at some point. Every gun should require an equal amount of attention and care and the more there are, the less time and attention you can give each one. If both of you were cool with guns, that's one thing, but if you are already strongly against guns, piling on more seriously can't be good for mental health. I grew up in a house with a gun for most of my life, but I've never even seen it. I've seen guns and have been around them, but never the one specifically in the house I grew up in. But I know my father practiced with it and made sure it was in working condition. And yet I never saw it nor ever found where it's locked up. Because that's the level of security you need for each and every gun in a house with curious kids. And here's the self defence argument, owning a gun increases your chances of dying during a B&E. It's because you aren't likely to be able to get it out in time, and if you do get it, someone who sees you with a gun is more likely to shoot as a result. And if it's somewhere you have fast access to it, it's a safety risk. And having multiple guns for a situation like that would give you "multiple chances" to defend, but also increase the odds of friendly fire. How often are you planning on how you will act in a dangerous situation? Will you do routine practices with everyone in the family? Because if not, more than one gun isn't increasing security, it's increasing the odds you'll end up shooting a loved one. Case and point, American police get a few months of training and kill a lot of innocent people. Finnish police need 3 years of schooling and 1 year of on duty training before they become a cop and our entire police force go years without killing anyone. Finland also requires officers have refresher courses. American police is more likely to shoot other officers than Finnish police is to shoot anyone. Just as an argument as to why guns are a bad idea if you aren't practicing emergency protocols. You can do a test, how long does it to have the gun ready for use, meaning loaded and ready to fire (theoretically, don't actually). Then you have to add a few seconds for figuring out there's an issue that requires a gun, then you can measure the furthest possible entrance to inside the house from the gun and then the shortest one. Realistically, even the furthest entrance means you aren't going to have the gun ready if someone is coming for your life. So to reiterate the only good scenario would be if you know someone is coming for you and you have time to prepare, like a stalker that is banging on your door. And in theory, owning two guns does give two people access to a gun in case of an emergency, but high adrenaline situations with ANYONE carrying a gun around you when you are also armed also adds to the risk of friendly fire. If you truly feel you need more than one gun for security, you need to hire an armed guard. But realistically, even just one gun is probably putting you in more danger if you don't train and keep practicing for emergencies. And finally, if guns are all about safety, then here's the thing. Just don't live in the US, where murder rates are generally 3 times higher than in Canada. And don't buy a gun if you aren't actively training with it, owning a gun without active training and practice increases your risk, it doesn't lower it. And the only time guns actually give an opportunity to protect yourself is generally if you carry it in public, something you NEVER need more than one gun for. Fuck, sorry about this rant, I just hate how little Americans respect guns, there's a reason their gun violence rates are through the roof. The lack of respect and understanding of guns.

Nathan Samms

I feel like the codeword for this episode should be bullshit. Haven’t heard bullshit more times in an hour then I have in last ten years. Lol

Curtis Murphy

Wow. You guys REALLY misunderstand Nancy as a character and it shows

SweetCandle

What's funny is that the actor playing Steve is more than two years older than the one playing Billy.

Leenis

Re: the seat belts - remember it was the 80s. I had to teach my nurse overprotective mom to wear a seat belt!

Hellguin

BT Dubs, the actor for billy was only 23.

Daisy Azuras

I hope Alicia is just playing along and making a joke because Yoshi doesn’t show up until super Mario world which is the fourth game super Mario three all it had was the Tanooki Suit And it released in October 19 88 Stranger Things one starts in 83 and this is now October 1984 and the NES doesn’t release until the following year in October 1985 I remember cause I was about seven years old and I was super excited that me and my brother got a Nintendo entertainment system for Christmas

james blaire

anyone else also just stop and say 'wooooah grandpa's old rifle?! thats feckin cool what rifle is it?' Lol gun range is also good fun

Leticia

I get you, but I think most of the things you are suggesting aren't available for Alicia at the moment. She already bought the house and her husband already has more than one gun, the best she can do is study some safety training, and, hopefully, not display the guns where children have access to them, I trust her judgment in this. But yeah, gun culture is really crazy from an outsider perspective, I physically flinched when she started talking about it lol

Fred Fuchs

As somebody who has worked as a custodian in a high school I can tell you with confidence that while the girl's restroom is cleaner on a normal day they are also the ones that will end up containing the vilest abomination of a cleanup job far surpassing the boy's room.

I'm following way too many nsfw accounts to use a name here

What are you talking about? Guns aren't welded to the house and the house isn't welded to her body. Things can be sold. Though I'm not suggesting that she sells her house, I'm saying cut the bullshit and think properly the guns are necessary. Because owning guns isn't increasing her safety, but it does significantly lower it for her and her family. Owning a gun to carry for defence is the primary reason to own a gun. Second is to have one in case a foreseeable threat is coming. And third is if you are willing to put in military levels of training for yourself and everyone involved to have a small chance of it being a net positive for the safety of ones family rather than a net negative. So if he and her aren't putting in military like training hours for how they'll react to an intruder for her and her family, then the best security for her is to get rid of most of the guns.

Nanogerm

in heaven XD

Robert C. Dona

Has she realized that the deputy is from Daredevil yet?

OrangeHeartGamer

omfg I was drinking at 6:25 and I choked at "MeatBAAAAAAAAGHS" XD

QuibblesAndGitz

Dude, turn it down a notch. The fact you live in a place with low violent crime rate means you will absolutely have a skewed perspective on this, and this isnt the right forum to try to discuss. The point of multiple guns across a bigger house is specifically to address your statement that "unless you are carrying it, you wont have access to it if attacked, unless you knew the danger was at the door before it tries to enter the house." Unless you are in the same room as the point of forced entry, you have time to take a couple steps and grab a gun. What you Dont have time to do is go to different areas to collect ammo and firearm from separate lock boxes and fiddle with loading. You ARE over concerned. You are also projecting from your own personality and ignorance. There are a couple years in a child's development where you are correct that extra safety steps need to be taken. You know how you address the "big shiny red button" issue? Take your kid shooting and teach them safety. You can do that from a Very young age, and that removes the mystique. You grew up in a home knowing there was a gun and wanting to play with it because it was a mystery. I grew up in a house with several guns, and my dad would show them to me and teach me about them the same way he taught me about working on a car or using power tools, so they were no more wonderius to me than changing a tire. The fact that you compare it to being radioactive and think that on average it will happen is completely uninformed and borderline paranoid. These are basic mechanical devices. Thats it.

KingofYokai

Bob the Builder, can we wreck this? Bob the Builder yes we can!

I'm following way too many nsfw accounts to use a name here

@QuibblesAndGitz Way to miss everything I said... First of all, that last sentence means nothing. You can say the same thing about nukes or a torture device. If you put as much effort into phrases as you do into gun safety, I wouldn't want to be anywhere near you or your guns. Second, having accessible guns increases self harm rates significantly and the likelihood that someone will harm someone else. A gun that isn't properly secured isn't increasing safety, it's making it more likely that someone will off themselves with it. Or how owning a gun increases the odds off getting shot by cops, even more so if you aren't white. But that doesn't even get into how you didn't even understand what the part about radioactive particles meant. Not radioactive, LIKE a radioactive PARTICLE, because a gun accident is LIKE the half life a particle. It might never happen or it might happen in the next 1 second, but having more than one increases the odds of it happening to at least one of them. And I didn't say accidental gun death in that part, I was talking about accidents in general. Miss fires, a hot round, manufacturing defect, strained parts etc. Even with all human error eliminated, there are things that can go wrong without any fault of the owner. Having more guns increases the odds of that happening to one of them. If you disagree, you kind of prove my point about on how people who don't respect guns are the reason they cause so much harm. Case and point. Finland has about as many guns per capita as Canada, but our gun violence rates are less than 1/4th of Canada. Canada on the other hand has nearly 1/4th of the guns that US does, but also only 1/4th of gun violence rates of US. The only factors I can think of that could cause that is how the culture treats guns, because both US and Canada are richer than Finland, regardless of how you look at it. Or basically, what I'm saying is that exactly the kind of lack of respect you seem to have towards guns is the reason why US has such a massive gun violence problem. Lack of respect towards them. And lack of training, but that's part of the lack of respect I was talking about. And most importantly, she said she is anti gun. Which to me tells me that either she isn't or she doesn't understand gun safety, or she'd put more of an effort than "Come on." If someone wants guns, I won't say they can't own them. Go ahead, but if someone doesn't want guns and still gets multiple of them for safety, they clearly don't understand how guns can and can't provide safety. And if a gun can be prepared for use fast enough to be of use if someone breaks in with intention to harm, then it's unsecure enough to be more likely to harm the people who live in the same house as it than it's to end up protecting anyone. And without proper training, even getting it out in time is more likely to get you killed than save you if the assailant wasn't there to harm but to rob.

Emeradis

If I've said it once, I've said it infinite times. D'artagnan was a member of the royal guard, not one of the three musketeers. Porthos would have been a better name.

Miguel Luna

When they started talking about the NES. I was like tag me in coach i got this. please please please I got you

QuibblesAndGitz

You dont grasp the difference between respect for something and fear of it. I respect the destructive capability of fire, but I still cook with a stove every day. I respect the destructive capability of a vehicle, but I still drive every day. I respect the destructive capability of a firearm, but I still handle it every day. You compared my calling firearms "basic machines" against nukes. A tool thats been around for several hundred years that a 12 year old can make for less than $20 of supplies from a hardware store and a library card, vs something that only extremely educated scientists have a practical understanding of, and is capable of leveling a city.. And the abstract concept of a torture device, which may or may not be something as simple as a knife or bamboo skewers, and another concept that has Ben around for millennia, but isnt inherently more dangerous than any other tool... A firearm isnt significantly more dangerous than a vehicle or a power tool, its just dangerous from further away.

I'm following way too many nsfw accounts to use a name here

@QuibblesAndGitz You still aren't reading me properly or I'm not making my point clear... First of all, comparing guns to nukes was exactly the point, they aren't the same, it was your sentence that was equally stupid. Just because you have additional context for what you thought you meant by it doesn't mean the context was there to begin with. Of course guns and nukes aren't the same, just like guns aren't just a basic mechanical device. They are a device specifically designed to kill, that's the reason the concept exists and while not all guns are made to kill something, it's still the purpose of the "basic mechanical device." Which is to say, calling guns a basic mechanical device is just as stupid as calling nukes a simple mechanical device. It doesn't help someone understand why guns are dangerous, frankly it downplays their potential harm. And I don't fear guns, I fear that people buy guns for the wrong reasons. Like you compared fire, cars and firearms requiring respect, but in fact, I'd argue at least with guns and vehicles, US is a perfect example of how the country doesn't respect either for their danger and push both to their absolute limits. I've talked about guns, so let's focus on cars. A car gets you from point A to point B. It can be dangerous, but it's both fast and efficient at it's job and significantly cheaper than many alternatives. It's also safer than many alternatives, such as motorbikes, especially for similar speeds. And you only really need one, not multiple, to get the job done. And you might WANT a motorbike, because they are cool, but almost nobody needs one to travel. Edge cases exist, but for most people it's less safe than a car. Then we get to American legal truck loopholes. By all logic, Trucks aren't necessary for the vast majority of people, but they are constantly growing both in size and popularity over there. This is due to them being cheaper than smaller cars, because they don't need to pass as many regulatory hurdles. They keep getting bigger and bigger, because of reasons kind of beyond my understanding besides marketing and more regulatory loopholes, I don't really get that part. But they aren't any safer, in fact, they are significantly less safe to have on roads than smaller cars. But American regulatory bodies admit it and don't do anything about it. It's why the US is one of the few countries where people die in traffic accidents at a growing rate, while almost everywhere else the rate has been going down during the same period. None of that is to say nobody should be allowed to buy large cars, nor that trucks don't have their uses, but most people really don't need them. They waste fuel, they waste materials and they waste lives. But because they can be cheaper, marketing and because bigger is better, people don't see how their individual purchases contribute to this over all statistic, as well as politicians lack of care to make the country safer, it only keeps getting worse. That is what I would call lack of respect towards cars. Most people won't get into a car accident that kills someone, not even most who buy a truck. But the more trucks there are and the bigger they are, the more over all unnecessary deaths there'll be because of trucks. Coming back to guns, I'm not against people buying guns. I'm not against people wanting to learn to use them and preparing home-defence plans for such scenarios. I'm not against wanting to just shoot and collect them or even put them on display. But let's look at Alicia for example. She doesn't know much at all about guns, so why are there several in her house? She didn't even know Rich got an M1 Garand, but she is supposed to have that up on display? When she doesn't even like guns! Her approval of the guns in the first place was for self defence reasons, not because she or Rich just wanted guns. But while guns could provide some security in some rare instances, they are just as likely to cause harm, if not more. So her allowing more and more guns into the house is for a reason that isn't real, when she is already uncomfortable with guns generally. Which is why I think it's bad that Rich wants more guns, because guns don't bring more safety than the danger they bring. And people who falsely claim they do are exactly what I mean by lack of respect and understanding of guns. If you believe guns bring more safety than danger, you don't know enough about guns. Whether you think that danger is large enough to even matter is up to you, but almost nobody is safer if they own a gun than if they didn't. EDIT: And for those for whom guns actually do bring safety, it's still indirectly part of the problem that's causing gun violence. It's a lot like MAD, but on on a smaller scale. When there's gun violence, having a gun can protect you from it, but the more people with guns there are the more likely gun violence becomes over all, because multiple people are thinking the same way. Now everyone who decides to do B&E for whatever reason feel the need to carry a gun for their safety. Which makes more people buy guns for self defence. And that is assuming that everyone involved understands proper gun safety, when it's factual that not everyone does.

Leticia

Wow this is quite the rant, I'm not qualified to go against or defend any of these points, so I'm just clarifying my first response: I just wanted to show some empathy for Alicia's situation, she clearly wants to have a healthy relationship with Rich, and her compromising to having guns in the house even if she's anti-gun means that this is a subject her husband won't budge and have strongs views about it. They probably already fought about all these points, and reached their own conclusion, so there is no use discussing this in her patreon for her sake, just take it somewhere else man

I'm following way too many nsfw accounts to use a name here

@Leticia I don't really care about her relationship with Rich or anyone else, it's none of my business. All I want to talk about is the topic of buying guns for protection, because that is factually misleading at best, as counter intuitive as it sounds. Because simply put, if someone makes decisions based on things that aren't true, they are making uninformed decisions. Whatever she chooses to do isn't my decision to make, but whether I comment about it is mine decision to make. At least if it's relevant, like it's for this video. But why would I take it somewhere else? I do tend to come off quite strongly, but why shouldn't I discuss a topic in the video said videos comments? I don't directly DM anyone, nor do I spamming this topic everywhere aside from this comment thread and a shorter comment in ep 5 as the topic came back up. If you don't like it, you don't have to reply to the thread. If Alicia thinks I've gone too far, she can ban me. Hell, if she just tells me to never comment again, I'll never comment again. Until then, I'll keep discussing any topic I'm interested in where ever it's relevant.

Ranginald Vagel

I thought the word of the day was going to be *heavy wheezing and dry heaving*

Leticia

that's fair, but just so you know, she disabled the comments on episode 20, season 3 of Steven Universe because people started fighting about their political views, this could happen here too

QuibblesAndGitz

Remember though, these are dnd needs that are having the stuff happen in real life.. As scary as it is, there absolutely would be a voice in the back of their head thinking "but this is also pretty cool, right?" Like yeah, some big scary monster almost killed their friend, but that doesnt mean Every monster is intrinsically evil.. Just because your friend almost got mauled to death by a pride of lions doesnt mean you want the little lion cub you found and thought was just a big kitten to be put down.. Maybe you can raise it to be friendly!

Yovan_Night (Purple Rain🟪)

🫩 gang, this is EXACTLY the line of thought that gets people packed up in horror movies😭 like, have you heard of that story of the lady who was attacked by her pet chimpanzee? Would you still get a chimpanzee after hearing about that story and seeing the damage the chimp did to her?

Unstablebeast

"HES 35" Alicia the actor for Billy was like, 22 here, he was born in 1994 and this season was shot in 2016, you are just very bad at guessing ages,

Unstablebeast

Crazy that Alicia still hasn't realized bob is samwise gamgie

Magikltrevr

Alicia and thinking actors in their early 20s are 35+, name a more iconic duo.

Muffin_of_Chaos

Ooh fuck. That Rich being a gun enthusiast needs some serious discipline. I hope if he makes a showcase they're locked properly and firing pins removed cause kids WILL find a way to get in. Household accidents with guns are over half the number of unintentional fatalities with firearms in the USA. If he wants to do it, I hope he does it properly. Especially if you want kids.

jdoggivjc

I think you all are underestimating how little people wore seatbelts in the 1980s - the laws just weren't on the books at the time, and even if they were, no one cared. I remember as a kid just lollygagging in the backseat of my parents' car with my sister, unseatbelted without a care in the world. That eventually changed because the law changed, but I remember when not wearing a seatbelt was a thing.

Noahthehoneyboy

I think firearms are beautiful pieces of art and history. Of course they can be dangerous, lots of hobbies are dangerous when mishandled. Most important this is knowledge and understanding.

Knight1201

In Bob’s defense, that is good advice for nightmares 99/100 times. Similar to season one however we are dealing with that .01 time. Also they kept him in the dark about it.

A

Nancy CANNOT LIVE THE GUILT SHE FEELS, SHE LITERALLY SAID THIS?? I think you both were talking over the scene where she actually says this to Steve… how about we also stop shitting on Johnathon… Seriously Joyce it’s literally color coded to show you what plug goes where, it’s really basic common sense any idiot can figure out.. red plugs into red, yellow to yellow white to white. Smh wow. Also wtf, these cops are RIDICULOUS you can NOT tell someone is Russian by SIGHT ALONE 🤣

Aaron Bone

in middle school, our bathroom on a dark rainy day looked way worse and scarier than that bathroom, creepy writing and graffiti on the walls, looks like it was built ages ago, dark and dim. wouldnt say this stranger things one is over the top at all
