Gas Mask Nerd Time: The masks the Soviet lab-goons were wearing in the intro are GP-5s, they're the classic "Russian" gasmask people think of (they're fun at "parties"). However, they were primarily Civil Protection masks, meaning they were for civilians (which is why there's a million of them still for sale to this day), and the ones they are using are older versions without voice diaphragms. The newer version that the military would use is the PMG-2.

I can’t tell from the video, but I do remember back in the 80s when maple syrup bottles didn’t have flip caps that you had to unscrew the cap. Pour it and then screw the cap back on so I’m wondering if that’s what that is and that maybe Alicia and her friend are assuming that it’s a flip cap but at the same time flip caps did exist during the 80s as well, it’s just they came later so that could’ve been a flip Kat bottle but if it was, it doesn’t make sense that he would unscrew the cap which leads me to believe that this takes place in the earlier 80s probably like what 80s 86, 87 when they were just starting to make the transition, and therefore that calf might’ve been just a regular cap that had to be unscrewed

Funnily enough, it was one of the few times with the least amount of crime. Not even the train worked so I remember having to take a bus and ask for a lift home after school. Most of the island was without power in 2017 as well. Hurricane María was rough.

Heyo! Just letting you guys know, Mormons are actually very strict on their interactions with technology, entertainment and people. Basically if you aren't Mormon, or a device wasn't made to assist in God's laws, it's shunned. If you stop being Mormon and your family remains, and you live with your parents, they often do kick their kids out onto the street. Mormons suck.

Grew up next to a mine that would do true darkness during tours, where they would have all the lights turned off while they described the average miners day with audio. Went through it multiple times for school trips and visiting relatives. Years later I was doing a caveing experience where they tried to do true darkness and everyone freaked out, But the effect was ruined for me because the walls were damp enough I could see the walls glimmering in my peripherals where light from the cave entrance reflected down like 8 turns. You don't realize just how good your night vision is until you go somewhere with no access to light and then see the runner up.

So, the reason why McDonald's has been leaning more towards that corporate core design is because they want to have an easier time selling the building off if they decide to relocate or shut a location down for whatever reason. It's harder to get a third party to buy a structure if it is obviously meant to be a McDonald's. At the end of the day, McDonald's is a real estate company first, a fast food restaurant second.
