Yeah, the 1st 3 episodes came out today

PurportedGrey

Brit is like Captain America in this universe (super soldier from the past, he just didn't get frozen for decades like Cap), so even though he didn't listen to Robot with the Sequids, he is exactly who you want in the leadership position just like Cap in the MCU/comics. He might not have been shown till The War episode, but he's been around for A LONG TIME, working for the GDA behind the scenes till now, in the comics he's the one who rescued Cecil from the gas that fucked him up. His comic, Tech Jacket, Invincible, and Walking Dead is what got me into comics back in 2005, so I'm excited to see Tech and Brit get expanded on in the future!

grimreapercz

Super excited to watch this season with you Alicia :> Missed this world honestly.

TSP247

Mark is not going to be happy when he finds out about conquest.

Darc Hart94

Let's hope Mark is actually smart this season. Cause I swear he was hit with a stupid stick when he decided to antagonize and attack cecil giving him all the proof he needed to prepare for evil invincibles

Darc Hart94

A leader that walks away is not a leader you want. Plain and simple

Darc Hart94

So in the original comics I think Eves dad tells him to keep eve under his thumb and basically manipulate her into being good and obedient and that pissed mark off that he was tempted to deal with her father to help her mother. But I could be misremembering

Eliteguard99

Mark is in his late teens, he’s not gonna behave logically even 40% of the time.

Sand

No your right he was a lot more “fuck women” in the comics compared to the show. Like comic fans were dreading this part of season 4

Memento Forever

That Eves dad conversation was very different in the comics.

THELAW34

I'm not saying you are wrong, I genuinely have no idea why you are saying he wouldnt have made it. What happened that showed the extra 2 seconds it took bullet proof to get there would have been enough time for the dome to collapse?

EnderSlayer366

I don't think we know whether or not Bulletproof would've made it for sure, on purpose. BUT, I do think if Mark spent less time standing there debating whether to kill Rus and more time bringing Rus closer to Bulletproof since he can also fly, they would've made it.

BizarroPhoenix

Yeah I am gonna give Mark a little side eye for just standing there not even looking for a member of the guardians with one of those bracers. I think the recent stress is giving him a bit of tunnel vision on solutions, which I sympathize with but still.

EnderSlayer366

i think mark was doing just fine since the other half of people that watch the show were thinking the same thing about cecil and thinking mark was right last season its what happens when protagonists fight and its actually written well, both were right and both were wrong for different reasons, and most importantly, both kept escalating the situation until it got to mark holding cecil by the neck in guardians hq that being said, hes working through some things lol

EnderSlayer366

Brit and Tech Jacket are truly unfortunate casualties of the whole rights issue they had going into the show. Speaking as a non-comic-reader, I would've loved to see how they would've fit into everything we already saw. Also, Spawn would've been nice lmao but man I feel like it's gonna take some warming up to Brit for most people, seeing as he immediately clashes with a character we already know (and is wrong) and has never been seen prior to earn any good will with the audience or other characters. I bet in the comics it was just like "Yeah, of course he's the leader, love that guy, he's so cool, he's reliable, I wanna see where this goes." But here it gives off more of a "Who are you and why are you giving them orders?" vibe, y'know what I mean?

Darc Hart94

The problem i have with it is that Cecil has a good reason to have them and instead of talking about it Mark just antagonizes and attacks cecil, then when cecil acts in self defense he goes running and crying about being a victim despite proving why cecil has and needs these contingencies.

PurportedGrey

100%, Kirkman being as hands on in this as he is, is just showing how great he is as a writer, and how much he's evolved since he started all 4 of those comic's back in the ealy-mid 2000s.

EnderSlayer366

Was there no key word today? Regardless of whether you believe Bulletproof would've made it with the disruptor in time, or whether you think Mark should have been actually making an attempt to bring Rus to somebody with a disruptor or not, I think we can all agree on one thing. Rus Livingston was an actual human person, and was completely innocent. Dinosaurus? We don't know, maybe it's a Bruce Banner/Hulk situation, maybe it isn't. But we know for a fact that Rus was a normal astronaut sent to Mars, who got left for dead and kept getting targeted by the Sequids from that point forward. Whether it was the right call or not, Mark is now going to have to live with the fact that he killed an innocent man. Not indirectly either, like people have argued with Omni-Man, or Angstrom, or Powerplex, this was his own hands, and this was on purpose. Right or wrong, you don't just get over that easily. peak way to start the season

EnderSlayer366

can agree, the benefit of hindsight helps a lot, its a shame he wasnt able to apply that hindsight to brit and tech jacket for the first 3 seasons, though i cant wait to see what he does with that damian darkblood storyline season 3 teased as well, with entirely new storylines now on the table, i want to see what he can do now that he has so much more experience under his belt

PurportedGrey

From the released episode descriptions, it's supposed to be Ep.4 next week, it's called "Hurm" and the description of the episode is just "Hurm".😂

King'sBard

For once, I agree with what you said about Mr Wilkins, mainly because the talk he had with Mark was way different and super gross in the comics, he basically said "Thanks for being interested in her despite her not being a virgin"

Ven

Yeah, from what I recall it was...blegh. Some of the changes from the show I've been iffy on, like the way they handled the Amber story near the end of season 1. It just felt really bizarre and convoluted to me, and was kind of a black mark on what I otherwise thought was a far better version of the character than her comic counterpart. This one though? I'm all for this change. I'm not saying that people with that kind of gross mentality don't exist, but it just seemed really lazy and generic compared to so many other antagonistic characters in the story. The way they handle him here maintains the same general role he had in the comics as a more normal and down-to-earth antagonist with some unpleasant beliefs, but making him feel more like an actual person than just a pretty generic "Me man, woman obey man, woman obey me. Good woman obey you too." caricature makes the subplot with Eve's family far more interesting.

CrispyLeaf9

Eve’s powers use up the energy of her life force essentially like the fat stores in her body all of the potential energy within her to be able to manipulate atoms, and her power is shown to be malfunctioning likely due to not having enough of that energy to be able to be used For the function of her powers. Just my guess though.

Blooocki :3

I love when Alicia rants about something she is at the moment with the given information right about, but will be violently disproven later. You already know the shock for her is gonna be awesome. (not gonna say which of her rants it was but damn will she be angy)

Blooocki :3

Well he is a super gross person.

ShinyC4terpie

Instead of talking about his good reasons for it Cecil instead goes behind the back of Mark, despite claiming to trust him, and only when he is caught out on his secretkeeping does he want to talk about it, but he doesn't REALLY want to talk it out. He has made up his mind, won't see anyone else's perspective, or even consider changing his mind, and expects everyone else to just shut up and go along with it, continuing to be his obedient little servants. When Mark has an understandable emotional reaction to being lied to about people that hurt people he cares about, Cecil jumps immediately to the deadly force he claims is only for if Mark became evil, despite Mark still being on his side and having not at all become evil. Mark did NOT attack Cecil, he raised his voice in an argument, which admittedly he shouldn'thave but he is a teen. Cecil, understandably, felt threatened, but Mark did NOT threaten him, he just displayed emotions. Cecil being scared of Mark does not give him the right to start using his last resort maybe-this-can-kill-him weapon just because he isn't an emotionless, obedient robot. Let's not forget that Mark FLED from Cecil. He tried to get away from the guy that was hurting him. And instead of accepting that the situation was over and giving Mark his space so it can de-escalate, and maybe they can talk with level-heads later, he FOLLOWS Mark. He chooses to continue the altercation. The moment he follows Mark as he flees and keeps up his attacks, summoning the Reanimen so he can use deadly force on Mark, HE is undeniably the aggressor

onimaru

WAIT STEVEN THE VOICE OF MARK ALSO VOICED INVINCIBLE WTH?!!

JuanmaRailgun

I agree with Cecil that bringing Robot back and immediately giving him the leadership is too rushed. "Earn my trust again" might not be the best choice of words but still. When you come back to a job, you are placed in the position you left, not given an immediate raise.

YubarReingok

So, I actually know about how this part where Mark talks with the dad in the backyard is different from the comics, despite having never read them. Thanks internet. Anyways, in the comic, he's portrayed as this vile, gross bastard, who talks to Mark about how he's thankful that Mark likes Eve despite her not being a virgin, how it's mans goal to break in their woman. Just...COMPLETE BASTARD, the whole page of it. And that's on top of him being the most racist, misogynist hunk of shit for this entire part of the comic. But what's changed in the show is that despite him clearly having some of those traits still, they made him somewhat redeemable by caring more for his daughter. In the comics he doesn't really come off as caring about her, but as her potential as a mate for a strong male despite not being a virgin-god I hope he dies horribly in the comics...anyways. Here, while he's still a prick, he's also still a dad whose concerned for his daughter and what might happen to her. I guess they thought writing him like this instead was...better? IDK. Anyways, when's Conquest v Mark Round 2 happen? I wanna see Negan get his second dose of asswhippin'.

Easy Mode - A.I

you got consistency, you make well educated choices, don't hate yourself girly!

Easy Mode - A.I

I prefer the comics, where it had cecil basically wake him up face to face and watch him escape.

Sean PaulT60

That conversation between Eve and her mom was strange...but I think it's her mom projecting. It's clear she doesn't have a healthy relationship with her husband, seeing how subservient she is with him. Like at the end of the scene in question when she cuts their conversation short when her husband tells her their show is on. I think she's projecting how her husband is onto Mark, not realizing that Mark and Eve's relationship is already in a very healthy place. I'm guessing she grew used to her husband's controlling behaviors and just thinks that's normal and how other relationships work.

Hellguin

I hope so much that cecil dies..... he causes SO MANY god damn problems, and regening Conquest was the worst....

N00B

I feel like a lot of information is scewed because people are so sure about "what" they're saying that they mess up on "how" they're saying it. Even if what Mr. Wilkins is saying and thinking is sorta correct, the way he conveys and acts on those thoughts is the cause of conflict. Its like he's saying the correct things not as a reason for his toxicity, but an excuse for it.

Zach

I really want to watch this, but apparently my phone let me do it. Can’t scrub, full screen or anything, sorry my computer died I guess. I’m so pissed.

Rinnzu Rosendale

I defend most of what Cecil does. But keeping Conquest alive was probably the single stupidest decision by any character in the show.

Equinox

nah he is what's keeping the planet safe....problem is that the writers didn't put effort on putting conquest in captivity

Equinox

just kill the host of dinosaurus? ah yeah that's not smart alicia, a bunch of invincible variants wrecked havoc across the earth and what he needs the LEAST right now is killing an innocent man when he doesn't particularly need to

Temp Temp

alicia is on chud timing

mitchhamilton64

uuuh, mark and oliver dont have super hearing. no clue where you got that from

Aggas Games

first time seein the new model the tracking especially seems improved
