Alicia continuing her villain arc of wanting to be in the HOA and ruin everyone's lives

Nico andHades

Love these early seasons!!! The show as a whole is great but there's something about the early seasons that keep me coming back!

Pool

Starting anything but continuing your back log…

Seth Brower

So, because of the way they usually talk, they say Gideon a lot, but in the moment that was paused and questioned about the saying, it was missed that his actual name is Jason Gideon, so he was talking to him, but saying his first name instead of last.

CreepTun

Wasn´t Steven Universe as one of your priorities?

Matty C

I REAAAALLLLLYYYYY wish they would pause if they're gonna yap (non-derogatory) for more than 15 seconds.

Remington Luther

If they thought this was a dark episode, hhhhhoooohhhh boy are they in for a rough time.

PsyrinCall

all ballads are poems, but not all poems are ballads. That's why Reid Said it.

TTJek

nsdocholiday

I love that it only took 4 episodes for them to realize that Alicia is gideon XD.

Neon Citizen Teal

She made a statement that Steven Universe returns on the 10th.

CreepTun

Well, ty! How convenient!

Alestorm3rd

As someone who doesn't want anime or any of Alicias anime reactions this is the kinda stuff I personally enjoy paying for

Alestorm3rd

I hope we get another 3 drop tomorrow like last week's random series start

Michael

Kind of a morbid question but on the cheating scale how far does rape then murder go? Like it’s not all the way to total cheating with feelings and planning to break up then get together but you are also having sex with another woman. But there are no real feelings usually associated with cheating in the act. So if your partner ended up raping then killing women how much did he cheat?

The statistics around how white people have more biases is a widely criticized statistic that revolves around a sample bias and often fails the “test-re-test” metric (the same person gets different results depending on the day, when you cherry pick the results that favour your position, you can make the results say anything). White people arent more biased than other races full stop, is that we live in a white culture and the media reflects the majority’s biases, but in all accounts peoples biases are varied wildly and mostly have to do with how you were raised. The study itself is actually an example of racial bias, they sought out to prove white people are more racist and skewed the results to make it look that way

OrangeHeartGamer

I legit think Alicia might reeeaaally dig the Hannibal TV series if she hasn't watched it yet. It's got some similar themes but waaaaay fancier cinematography I think she'll dig.

Pool

I just mean she has so much stuff she started and forgot about or does not care. Least she could do is update the page to mark it as (stopped)

Matty C

There are dozens of tests. Not just one that demonstrates that white people have more of a subconscious racial bias than other races and ethinc groups. Key word is "subconscious" meaning unintentional. You're misinterpreting what she said. And I can only assume it's because you're white and feel called out. Otherwise, you're just being disingenuous about real data that exists and isn't cherry picked to fit a narrative.

And most if not all of them are widely criticized, I did not misinterpret anything my dude, I did this thing that responsible people do and looked it up before posting. Saying one race is “subconsciously more biased” is in itself, biased. But congratulations on proving your own racism my guy

Matty C

You can't say "most of them" when I gave no specific point of reference. You're just blindly denying something because you don't like the outcome. As well, something being criticized doesn't invalidate its results. You are in fact being disingenuous, and you're doing it not to just to Alicia, but now to me by twisting what I said and applying your own meanings to it. Nothing that I said was racist. The fact of the matter is, that you took "Subconscious racial bias" as me calling people, (specifically white people) racist, when that is not what happened, or was ever the case. Alicia herself even says the same thing. At this point you're proving to not being very well versed in this topic, nor are you showing to be here in good faith.

No I’m not, the most cited one and the study she’s probably referring to is the IAT, which is heavily criticized as unreliable. For a study to be reliable, it needs a score or 70-90, the IAT and other like it fall at 40-60. Also when the same tests are done in other parts of the world, the find similar results from the dominant ethnic group, the general consensus is that all people filter “like me” and “not like me” first, every has implicit biases, but saying white people have more is unfounded and in fact based on a biased test (the main group studied was college students which are predominantly wealth white kids in NA, which further skews the results) The fact of the matter is, when I hear something that tries to make a biased claim, like saying white people have more implicit bias, I actually take the time to look it up, but rather than write out pages of evidence, I summarize and point out that it’s wrong. You then made an assumption about my race, showing your own implicit bias and low key proving my point, even if I am white it should be irrelevant, I believe people are more alike than they are not, and when something claims otherwise It’s 9/10 times the result of a bias, my skin colour doesn’t change that line of thinking. I am not being disingenuous, you are by jumping to my skin colour as a point, rather than actually looking it up yourself, it’s really not that had to find the evidence it took me about 5 minutes. “The Data on Implicit Bias (The IAT) Since you mentioned looking it up, you likely ran into the actual numbers that fuel this debate. When people claim one group is "more biased," they are often looking at mean scores from the Harvard project, but they often ignore the reliability coefficients. Test-Retest Reliability: For a test to be "good," it usually needs a score of 0.70 to 0.90. The IAT typically scores between 0.40 and 0.60. This means if you take it twice, there is a massive statistical chance your "bias level" will change significantly. Predictive Power: A meta-analysis of over 100 studies found that the correlation between IAT scores and actual discriminatory behavior is roughly r=0.14 to 0.24. In statistics, that is considered a "small" effect size, meaning the test is a very poor predictor of how a person will actually act in real life. Cross-Cultural Bias Statistics Research into In-group Favoritism shows that bias isn't a "white" trait; it’s a neurological shortcut found globally. Group Study Finding General Population Approximately 70% of participants show some form of implicit preference for their own group. Ingroup vs. Outgroup Studies in India (Caste), Japan (Ethnicity), and the US all show similar "us vs. them" neural firing patterns in the amygdala. The "Universal" Constant Humans categorize others into "like me" and "not like me" in less than 100 milliseconds” Here’s just a simple copy paste of just google geminis summary, just to show how easy it is to simply look something up without even doing a deep dive, and here’s a link (https://pollackpeacebuilding.com/blog/review-analyzes-the-weaknesses-of-the-implicit-association-test-on-predicting-behavior/) to just one article going into the weakness of this test. But continue going off, because no I didn’t miss the part where she said unconscious, im pointing that’s literally what everyone does

15:50 cant avoid to remember a case in NCIS in which the serial killer was infiltrated as part of the morgue doctors and tried to kill the goth girl scientists at the same time they realized it was him, only to arrive and the girl already had him tied up in a chair with at least 3 full ducktapes and some cables, already dominated and defeated... I kinda remember a case in monk that was the same where the unsub keep killing during the episode, only that the last one we see how he attempt on a girl and then she call the police saying she captured the man and beated him up

TSP247

man I miss the Wii Fit, I used to compete with my grandmother on who could get a higher score.

Delta Tortoise

Chip, and I think he was Abby's assistant not an ME. and fun fact, the actor who played Chip is Sean Murray's (McGee) stepbrother (or half brother, I don't remember)

Zally bee

Reporting fr sexually explicit material, i recommend others do the same

Michael

Oh my God, grow up. It’s a genuine question about what happens in the episode.

Randomocity732

but that very perspective leads you to perceive specific people a certain way regardless of whether it is true or not. that in turn leads to creating your own unconscious bias.

Darc Hart94

Honestly statistics about white people are becoming even more skewed if you take a look at the race and nationality of people that have been arrested the past year or so. Their race being listed as "white" despite them having nothing that would suggest they are
