Welcome back Rat Queen

Darc Hart94

I think that post credits scene is hilarious because comic readers know conquest stays dead permanently. But the writers have been changing and adding ao much they could give everyone a little scare

random gamer

god damnit full screen shit is happening again

Charlie baker

The lobster thing also super funny here for a comic reader 😂

Darc Hart94

Side note: thaedus is a beast. The dude probably hasn't fought for centuries yet is smacking around and killing these other viltrumites like they were common immortals

N00B

With every speech Thaddeus gives, my desire to see Alicia react to Transformers grows that much more.

Egregore

Thank god they didn’t make Oliver attracted to Tec Jacket; we don’t need another Grayson family romance and it would get super weird with how fast he matures compared to regular humans like her.

PurportedGrey

Especially Kregg with who, as the general of the Empire, I would consider right behind Conquest (a large gap in that 2-3 of course) in strength.

PurportedGrey

I also think it was a tongue and cheek moment for all the people that complain about people not staying dead.

Kiddkingpin

Okay, so I def thought the mole was the captain from the fake Star Trek crew, but no, it turns out that all those times he was messing with and nearly got Nolan killed was just because he was f*ckin a moron 😂

ACVIFOR

Dude same. Not the 2000s movies though, the 86 one.

PurportedGrey

With the beginning talking about how big the empire is, they are a multigalactic spanning empire, Viltrum is supposed to be on the other side of the Milkway from Earth, Thraxa is in a different galaxy, Talescria and the Coalition are in another galaxy. So they are keeping control and conquering multiple galaxies with 50 Viltrumites the last couple centuries. (They probably had hundreds of people left post virus, but they've most likely been whittled down to that 50 number over the 900 years of constant war since the virus)

Jyxxe

Fun fact about major abdominal injuries - if the intestines are displaced for any reason, whether to move them out of the way for a surgery or due to extreme physical trauma like Mark underwent, the protocol for putting the intestines back in place is to make sure they aren't tangled, and then just sort of... throw them back in to the abdominal cavity. Over time, the intestines will naturally move themselves back into the proper position.

Barbietube

Bro, this fuckass show had me sweating in the end man!

Vendacator

I'm very excited for these last two episodes

JJ415

Has anyone brought up the idea to watch Bob's Burgers yet?

N00B

The 2000s movies set a low bar that'll help Alicia appreciate TF One. Its Alicia. We know she can handle bad movies.

Suprixia

The fake out at the end was diabolical

Nick

that bait and switch at the end WAS NOT OK

Hallofcosts

season one nolan says he stopped a meteor the size of FUCKING Texas. Even if he exaggerated and it was the size of a city block that space ship should've been childs play to lift. That drama with it crashing and "oh nooooo we cant lift it" was so dumb. Otherwise a really good episode

nothing

Bro it's been happening to me for weeks now I thought it was just my computer or sum shit

SovietToaster_93

Thragg defending that skull like it’s his airfryer lmao

xxDrain

Sometimes physics matters, sometimes it does not. Protein requirement is physics.

Vincent Price

38:28 The hell he does, This is a great look for him. kind of looks like his VA as well.

Vincent Price

I would also be concerned of any perforations

random gamer

if u click the title link it fixes the problem

Cornucopiac

what if the ship weighed more than texas

Hallofcosts

He only lifted half a ship with two others still.

AnotherWeeb

stopping even an ore-rich meteor in space is way easier than stopping a ship made of refined heavy metals a hundred feet above a planet. Especially with the latter being after months of poor diet and a major fight

Hallofcosts

stopping texas coming at you at mach-fuck speeds is harder than stopping half a ship with 2 other super hero's that just barely started free fall?

AnotherWeeb

with no counterforce accelerating the ship (gravity)? Yes, stopping a more massive thing over a large distance is easier than stopping a less massive thing over a short distance while it's actively accelerating against your efforts What is harder, pushing a 1 ton boulder in space. no friction, the boulder isn't fighting you. Just inertia. Or stopping a truck, the engine is still running and the driver is flooring it.

Hallofcosts

Well in that example the truck obviously... but the ship wasn't mechanically accelerating and the boulder is actually larger than most countries. so a proper example would you and 2 friends catching and lifting half of a pontoon boat or you throwing a a 4 acre hill

Speed1247

I agree, power scaling is an issue in these. Though if we want to be generous maybe it's more an issue of putting enough force to stop it and not too much force where they'd end up just going through it, they need to push but not push too much situation.

Speed1247

To be fair we don't know how long it took him to stop the astroid. He could have traveled hundreds of miles slowing it down before redirecting it. However knowing what's coming next it does make me question the power scaling, viltrimites seem to be as powerful or weak at they need to be for the story.

LightWizard91

Theory: I feel like he isn't planning just to attack viltum, and that Thaedus smiled when he heard all the viltrumites would be gathering back at viltrum because he could then release another plague on them wiping them all out at once.

Xenocrona

How about that jebait at the end lmao

Coleman Mavity

Nolan lies. If we didn't see it there is no guarantee it happened. Plus, we don't know the gravity of that planet, or the weight of the ship, and we have seen in other episodes gravity also affects flight.

Jyxxe

For a human, yes, absolutely. I'm guessing sepsis is a bit of a non-issue for Viltrumites.

AnotherWeeb

gotta rebuild his magic muscles out of something

AnotherWeeb

the ship WAS mechanically accelerating. Gravity exists and they were, again, a couple hundred feet above the surface of a world with apparently earth-like gravity. And he had to stop it over the span of about 50 feet if he didn't want it to start crushing buildings in your analogy, throwing a hill, IN SPACE, would still be much easier, yeah. You just keep burning fuel (or flying into it) until it has accelerated to your desired ends. in space, you CANNOT FAIL to push an object, no matter how massive it is. It's just a question of how quickly it accelerates. The weakest character in the fiction could stop a meteor, assuming they can somehow accelerate themselves in space and have an air supply. Against gravity, there's always a chance, however small, that you just flat out aren't strong enough to lift a thing against gravity. There is an opposing force that must be overcome

BakaSama

Indeed. I keep waiting for Thaedus to say “Autobots roll out!” and I know it’s never going to happen.

Hallofcosts

what do you think mechanically means in this context?

AnotherWeeb

Fear that 2-3 supermans might come down and genocide your entire planet is a pretty good motivator to self-police. Those 50 viltrumites don't have to do much to keep most of the planets in line. Especially if you assume that only 1 in 10 or so star systems actually has intelligent life in it.

AnotherWeeb

This was my fear when I saw how they changed Tec, but I'm kinda happy with the version of him/her we got. New Tec is kinda based

Hallofcosts

gravity is earth-like we can see weak (human level) characters move normally

AnotherWeeb

I'm not happy with all the changes they've made from the comics (I hate the new amber and I don't think she can be saved for me) but that was a really good fakeout

Darc Hart94

I heard they're planning on changing a certain something that happens to mark in the future and that seems like a bad idea to me

Bologna Amputation

The mental picture of Thragg pulling a single french fry out of that skull and reverently crunching into it has appeared in my mind, and will never leave.

Yan

you think oliver has like a relatively normal lifespan? like sure hes half viltrumite and they like live a long time, but hes half bug too and they only live about a year. Think oliver will just have an average human lifespan?

Unsaidrumble

That ending is probably the funniest thing this show has done

Cody Giovinazzo

The older he gets the more the viltrumite dna takes over

Broccoli Ben

for a second I thought they were gonna pull a second twist with the other twin being the real mole... until the first one got back up lol

GingerBread

it's possible his life might still be shorter due to his rapid aging. he might lose hundreds of years of life before he stops aging at bug speed.

Elaharra

that was my exact thought too, all the elder ones in one area, the most experienced. I never thought that thing was gonna be a last resort the second he said it.

Darc Hart94

Also we saw Nolan casually floating next to a BLACK HOLE and he wasn't being pulled in

thedangmaster

Why does this show keep doing goofy jokes? Like in season 1 or 2 it keep baiting the invincible title without doing it. Conquest fake out is peak comedy

Malcorpse

The way Thragg is obsessing over that skull, I'm convinced they were fucking.

Bologna Amputation

The animation shortcuts joke in S2 was pretty great, but this is master level.

Joy Blackdragon

That gave me a genuine chuckle, thanks! Great image.

CinnfulFantasies

Yeah I was really afraid it would be an "I killed him in righteous anger for betraying us and now he conveniently can't explain himself" type of thing for a moment there.

Jackie

A less fun fact is that you can actually feel your intestines moving while they put themselvesback in place

Jyxxe

I suppose that depends on your perspective of what fun is!
