yeeeeeeeah......NOT so much of a happy ending.....Hanlon is the last name of Mike from the movies....as in...Mike Hanlon, the guy who lost parents in the fire that he was afraid of and saw in the alleyway, so those two did not live that long after all this went down and they got together.....yeah. also, I woulda thought you'd have been more shocked when Pennywise pulled out Ritchie's poster and that the eye patch girl was Ritchie's mom. my jaw hit the floor when that happened.

IMO it's not just an easter egg, in the OG novel version of IT, Halloran was in flashback scenes from the Black Spot era, but the movie and tv miniseries didnt adapt that, and basically the london hotel job is a connective thread that meets up. Also IIRC Shawshank Redemption is set DURING this cycle too

I love the idea that It is trying to prevent its own death/birth by going further and further back in time. It is trying to create a butterfly effect to where It wins but maybe in doing so is sealing It's own fate.

While Hallloran was left out of the IT miniseries and movie, in the original book he WAS in a flashback scene about the Black Spot fire, it was just never adapted

You two should really check out the shinning, it continues Holloran’s story there, and then Doctor Sleep continues it even more! Also I know season 2 is for sure confirmed but I know they want a season 3 as well, 2 will be 1935, and season 3 will be 1908

Yessss 100% I feel like Alicia consumes so much content and with time between watching It chapter 1 and 2 there's def references and reveals that unfortunately might've gone over her head so I'd love to see her reaction to a video like that! :D

Yeah, which is why Mike is homeschooled so far away from Derry. Even when he talks to the Loser's Club about what they see, Mike says his Grandpa warns him about an Evil Spirit living in Derry.

cause he was out of Derry, and when ya leave it, you feel a lot better, bad memories go away, but get too close or get reminded of it, your mental state goes down and you get reminded about it a whole lot that you mentally shut down

They're planning to do do 2 more seasons of Welcome to Derry! Each focusing on a previous cycle. We'll get to see the gangster massacre they mentioned this season as well as the Easter Egg hunt explosion that they mentioned in the films.

In my opinion definitely the best IT media of this franchise run. The first movie was pretty good, the second not so much, but this was great throughout. I wasn't planning on ever watching this originally because I didn't see the point but I'm far more willing to try a new show through a reaction and this was fantastic. I've seen other Stephen King adaptations, but I always forget they're supposed to all take place in the same universe, so I got to enjoy the show without paying any attention to crossovers and references.
