This is what made the Civil Rights era so frustrating. Every single time black people decided not to take it lying down, every time they pushed back even a little, they'd be screamed at and blamed for daring to protect themselves.

John Allardyce

I feel that Charles' position would be easier to root for if there was just one human character that was actually chill with mutants. So far, every single one has either been a genocidal manic or a milquetoast centerist that wouldn't care if the manics killed all the mutants.

Just for the record, the Earth's magnetic field deteriorating means the entire Earth gets blasted with radiation and life on the planet dies. Magneto is right to take a colony of Mutants and leave the planet, but he ain't gotta throw a Molotov Cocktail on the way out. Like fuck the prime sentinels, but there are, like, baby elephants and shit here.

Azaxul

Once you have seen the worst the planet has to offer you begin to think that's all there is. Magneto is done with the bad apples narrative, he's burning the entire orchard down.

nervouspirate

I'm not saying I don't understand Magneto's motivation, I'm just saying the X-men are right to be like "Hey man, maybe don't"

Shay

Moira is supposed to play that role, but she was only on screen for maybe 30 seconds before dying on Genosha

2026-10-07 05:00 Okay I am big fan of your stuff but Just for the record this is like season 6 of a show so saying magneto did nothing wrong and saying he is right this season is made to be able to watch by itself but it is the 6th season in a show. I agree magnus did good for this season not killing any humans well until the emp probably killing millions in hospital all around the world there is no to little tech right now that works in the world so a lot of people died it did stop the bastion robots but also like why did he just kill bastion?. Also all you get told is that people get told they are getting to be made better nothing about killing mutants some are sold on that some proably like muntants some are just told they will become an evolved human.

Bastion is just symptom, if you get a bacteria that makes you cough only treating the cough will get you nowhere you need to get rid of the infection. I mean bastion is a pretty bad cough but as long as humans exist their unfailing malice will create more bastions.

Matthias

Yhea but their main thing is that everyone telling Xavier "giving the X-men to magneto was not a good idea" and making it seems like magneto doing what he did was a result of that but that whole idea is wrong. Bastion would've happen no matter what, bastion didn't act just because magneto was now part of the x-men, he would've attacked genosha and launch his prime sentinels no matter what and magneto would've reacted the same way. But the thing is as leader of the X men magneto did nothing wrong, he was actually pretty good.

DiabloAnos

The damn Magneto slander in this episode is so terrible, Magneto did nothing wrong, lmao.

PokéBoyBB

Listen, I'm not saying Magneto isn't wrong. But he is CLEARLY overreacting here. What he is doing will wipe out ALL life on the planet, humans and mutants alike as well as all animal and plant life. How do we thing this is a good thing? And most of the people who became prime sentinels were infected against their will, do you really think he got MILLIONS of people ALL over the fucking globe to sign up to be Prime Sentinels willingly? You guys are SO thinking with your sex organs instead of your heads. We get it, Magneto's hot, recognize he's a villain, get his dick out of your mouths.

Texasholdme

Because the experiment known as humanity has shown to fail time and time and time again. In the show at least, we're obviously incapable of living like actual people instead of scared animals all the time, so it's better to just wipe the board.

Craig

The second franchise where "Magnus did nothing wrong" fits huh?

Adrian

I understand you guys like magneto and all but what he did could kill every animal in the world. He didn't do a simple emp. They said he didn't do a simple emp. He stopped the magnetic field of the entire planet meaning the whole planet will get fucked with atmospheric erosion causing radiotion from the sun to become lethal. So if he doesn't undo the damage before it becomes permanent then It's not only a human problem it's a planetary problem. That's why everyone is thinking he's being unreasonable

fonz lopez

the bit with 'what did you expect, black leather' is a callback to the original x-men movie. in the scene where wolverine is on the jet at the end he says 'you guys actually go out in these things' and cyclops says 'what did you expect...yellow spandex?'. basically making a joke at the expense of wolverines comic costume. this is cyclops doing the same thing with cable, but in reverse. which i love cos its kind of celebrating the crazy colorful nature of their costumes instead of being ashamed of them like the movies were for years.

Baron Salt

Yes but also black people didn't have the power to completely erase the world if they wanted. Like there is allegory here that being said within the context of X-Men neither Charles or magneto is 100% good people and their responses and advances to how humans treat mutants aren't one for one and justifiable

Baron Salt

While you guys are right that magneto was doing everything well and this season up till the genocide, you still have to consider the fact that placing him in that position in the first place was crazy. For years this man has terrorized civilians, not the people responsible actual average joes, to the point where they even considered making sentinels like this. Like, Magneto is not just a person who reacts to mutant injustice. He was also an avid 'lets kill humans of all kinds" type of person and many times he has done things that harm mutants in order to kill humans.

Baron Salt

I'm going to take a minute to shit on Charles. Because he is also heavily in the wrong. First of all he left his entire family without a word. Like yes they didn't know if he would survive to alien experiment or not, but as soon as he recovered he could have AT MINIMUM told them that he was he had recovered. And secondly his idea for human meeting coexistence is essentially the same as Bastion's. Just the world of peace paved on the backs of Mutants. He never truly cares about how many mutant lives are to be sacrificed in order to maintain this fragile piece human civilians have. Not only that but he is someone who wants to be seem as this great savior when really he's trained several generations of child soldiers to sacrifice their lives for a never ending cause.

Baron Salt

I feel like Ant has a gross misunderstanding of Forge's power. While he can thinking up inventions, he's not literally proofing them into existence. He has to have the physical material to make what he sees. It's why he was working with the military in order to get funding l

PhillyJ

I think they missed the part where the world is ending because of what magneto did.

Fei Ashtear

Guys, you can't move legs with telepathy. You're thinking of telekinesis, which Charles doesn't have.

Fei Ashtear

Jean has telekinesis btw lol.

Helido

I can asure you in the world there's perhaps a handful of black people who could actually just nuke anything with a word, a handful doesn't represent a whole race. That's literally the point of the mutant, for every storm there's 70 kids with the power to just being blue

dred skl

Magneto killed thousands of people btw

Jose Carlos Miguel

Magneto IS the bad apple, dude is a genocidal maniac.

Jose Carlos Miguel

Innocents? Magneto the same guy that was going to kill millions with nuclear weapons for the fuck of it? that Magneto is good? the guy who's entire goal up until this point was the eradication of humanity no matter their involvement in mutant oppression? that guy?

Jose Carlos Miguel

that's not even to mention the countless mutants he manipulated, abused, and left to die just so his plans could work.

Adam

yeah, and that's one mutant in every hundred million of them. You're still wrong.

THELAW34

As long as you die too the argument is sound

THELAW34

Oh are we not joking about being with Magneto? I'm gonna say no, we should kill every living thing on th planet because of evil people. Mutants are also just people and are as bad as humans.

Eric

"He could walk if he wanted to with his powers" no he can't. Telepathy is not the same as Telekinesis. Telepathy is reading others minds and maybe controling other people, Telekinesis is controling objects with the mind. Jean has both, but Charles only has telepathy, very mutch like Emma Frost

Mmmmmmmmmmmmm your stretching it. This isn’t a person fighting back against someone else…you do realize it wasn’t just the cyborg mutant things he took down. Hell there not even dead. A BUNCH of regular smegular people died. He’ll probably some mutants. Think about hospitals who suddenly lost power. No access. People lost. Communications used to save people in that moment down for good. We’re losing the plot here.

Joe Tickle

The reason we can't kill is because it's not a person but hate and intolerance that they resent. They have dozens of follows who will replace them in second. We defeat them with ideas, understanding and knowledge. Which is why the X-men are heroes lol...that's a way harder fight but it's the only way.

Cole Savoie

Prof X and Magneto has strong parallels to Abolitionists and Emancipationists. They want the same thing but one wants change Now by any means necessary and the other wants a slow change over time that maximizes benefits for all sides.

Patrick McIntyre

I feel like alicia and ant talking about how Charles' ideals aren't working is a good time to bring up that in the comics Charles Xavier is a massive hypocrite. For those interested comicstorian has a great video on the character Mathew Malloy and how Xavier fucked over his life because he was a mutant too powerful for his own good.

Seth Brower

I think they both ... kind of overestimate Bishops power level, he has high output but really needs to be charged up to that so ...

Azaxul

Defending yourself against oppression doesn't make you evil. You break into my house, steal my things and beat my family, but cry wolf because I have a bigger gun? I'm taking you out, and the people who stood by and did nothing to help me. That is his mentality, and I cannot fault it. People have been trying to actively genocide him and his people in one way or another, and in several alt futures they succeed. The show also does a very poor job in showing humans who actually support them and not just passive onlookers who don't help because it doesn't affect them. If they did that Mags wouldn't have this support among viewers. AoT did it better, and people STILL support Eren and the rumbling because when it comes down to your tribe or mine, I'm choosing mine and glassing yours.

Adam & Miranda

the "Robatism XP" was the best Alicia moment I've ever seen.

GreedOfGram

Any death for an X-Man is potentially the beginning of a new story for them. Especially if they're popular.

DrakeNoAubrey

I wish they would react to comicstorian

Matthias

And I can tell you're utterly delusionnal.

Rhodair

There's loads of humans that are good with mutants. It's just that they're not relevant to the story and most are simply background. The majority of humans are good with mutants, but they're also not standing up for mutants. It's like a lot of politics in the real world - most people just tune out, keep their heads down, and focus on their own lives. Every day folk don't get involved in political affairs until something effects them personally, unfortunately.

NeverendingZero

Here I thought you were going to say "They missed the part where that's their problem." XD
