I've grieved for my sister while she was alive, her last few years aged her terribly and she could hardly keep any weight on. Her multiple conditions and seizures changed her from the pillar that kept our family up when I grew up. I was the only one able to stay and help take care of her in her final years and I would try to talk about things with her that she had no memory of. Some days she was just a completely different person and I missed having my older sister who I could always depend on.
