Can’t wait for the next episode. Alicia will love it!

DiabloAnos

The blessed peak continues 3 days in a row. Thank you so much Alicia.

Haganedragon Latency

No the phrase is "Believe in me that believes in you". It's because Simon lacks confidence but trusts Kamina. So Kamina is saying if you believe in me then believe the confidence I have in you.

Miklar Sihn

We have already seen 2 versions. There is "Believe in the me that believes in you." We also have "Believe in the Simon, that believes in himself".

Nightmareman99

Oh and it takes almost the entire series to fully understand the Spiral King the dude is a hella complex and interesting character. And there is not way in hell your gonna guess the rest of the plot. There are many reasons as to why Gurren Lagann is called an insane show. Your in for a ride 😂😂😂😅😂

Noxar Void

18:21 Or like Hotel Transylvania 😹

Haganedragon Latency

My comment was about at the end of the video where he was misunderstanding the quote thinking it was telling Simon to be like Kamina

Battle Beast: MORE MORE GIVE ME MORE!!!!!

Okoga

Brother, delete this, that has not happened.

WillGlacier

14:33 About why she has "water powers" The four generals are based off the four heavenly animals in Chinese mythology, with each of their Gunmen being based off one of the animals (which they hinted at last episode with their titles) Also (fun fact) their names are based off of the four nucleobases that comprise DNA - Thymilph (thymine [T]) with Byakko the White Tiger who's element is fire (like the volcanos during their fight against him) - Adiane (adenine [A]) with Seiryu the Blue Dragon who's element is water (azure dragons are connected to water) - Cytomander (cytosine [C]) with Suzaku The Vermillion Bird/Phoenix who's element is wind - Guame (guanine [G]) with Genbu the Black Turtle who's element is earth

Shit my bad didn’t catch it watching 2 different people reacting to Gurren Should be edited now

Silver Raven

This is the story of a boy becoming a man...But what is a man? Is he, his origins, his lot in life? is a man a meaningless pile of secrets or perhaps a man is something harder to define?

Supermew

The Spiral King isn't voiced by Chris Sabat, he's voiced by Jamieson Price, the voice of Chad in Bleach and Rider in Fate/Zero.

Al.exe

2:15 Did Sasuke get lost or something?

Marshmellodanny

Happy your back to watching the show ❤️👌

I think the main question is why Adine is scorpion themed, which there may be a good reason. It's absolutely possible that they just made the design and needed her to slot into one of the four elements, but if there is a reason it's probably that fable about the Scorpion and the Frog.

WillGlacier

I would agree with you if ANY of the other beast men besides the bird dude actually matched their heavenly animal. The Tiger gunman is owned by a gorilla, the azure dragon is owned by a scorpion, and the tortoise is owned by an armadillo. There is no actual reason to why she was a scorpion, they just picked it because they wanted to make a scorpion woman.

Mod Ferrel

I'm just personally more inclined to believe that there is a trend or at least connections that can be made that I don't have the encyclopedic knowledge of fables for. Hell, the reason Thymilph was a gorilla could be a Wukong reference because of that time he let a temple burn down. His weapon was a spear which is the absolute minimally removed from a quarterstaff. Creatives are like that even unintentionally. Gainax, and by extension Trigger, don't need an excuse to make hot as shit characters, just look at PSG and KLK, but I am just more inclined to believe that there is a reason they made scorpion as opposed to mermaid. Far as I recall she never poisons anyone so there's nothing unique about her or any of her scenes that couldn't also be achieved by like a giant pistol shrimp claw or octopi tentacles.

Miner49er201 .

I'm trying to remember if the Scorpio horoscope is a water sign or not. As for the elements thing, it could be the case, but the Four Generals here use the Western Four Elements (Earth, Fire, Air, Water), though the actual Auspicious Beasts are based on the Eastern Five Elements (Wood, Water, Fire, Metal, and Earth). Associating with their mechs, Byakko (White Tiger) is Metal, Seiryu (Azure Dragon) is Wood, Genbu (Black Tortoise) is Water, and Suzaku (Vermillion Bird) is Fire. The Earth element is associated with the Qilin or Yellow Dragon, but was thought of as a representation for the Chinese Emperor - so I guess Lordgenome in this case? The combination of inspirations here does hint towards Lordgenome's messing around with Beastmen physiology though; they're a hodgepodge of vaguely connected concepts.

This is one of the few anime that can be classified as an epic.
