You should look into that study more, it's really old and done badly. The study includes ALL relationships Lesbians have been in including Straight ones. They basically lumped all the relationships together and claimed it was the fault of them being LGBTQA+ ones.

Actually the reason abuse statistics are so high for lesbians is bc it involves all kinds of abuse, most of the statistic is abuse from men, homophobes, and family members, not lesbian partners. Women and queer people are historically oppressed people who get all types of abuse, it should not be suprising that queer women have faced abuse for both being a woman and being queer.

That survey citing that stat op talked did in fact include any form of abuse from an intimate partner over the respondees lifetime including males however, two thirds reported only female partner abuse. Which proves ops point abuse is not about a persons orientation, gender, race or class its about the person and thier own failings.
