Nothing more fun than our two spectrum-coded beans talking shop with one another.

Kayden

Thank you for the reaction!

One of the few times there's an anime character with my name, and she's a bitch

The plot thickens

Yeah so this episode basically confirms they are from somewhere in the Ottoman Empire (or in-universe equivalent at any rate), given the language they are speaking. I also don't quite understand why the subs say "the western nation she's from" in reference to Gyokuyou, when it should be the "western province" (as opposed to the central province where the capital city of the nation is in)...

jdoggivjc

CR messing up subs again. Considering my knowledge of Japanese is rather limited, I'm guessing it's a word that can be translated either way and they just chose "nation" without trying to gain further knowledge of the series to realize "the West" is the a western province and Western Capitol of the nation.

at least you're not a Charles. I swear most "Charles"s are either : Dead former owners/proprietors of a McGuffin that is being inherited, or a bald bad guy with glasses , probably someone with Money or influence just walking by and smoking on a pipe or something -.- lol.. "mhh, yeashh, i shee, puff puff... well then, hop to it, execute them all." or something lol. Edit: For legal purposes, the fact that I am bald and named Charles does not mean I'm confirming the "bald guy is bad guy" meme here lol. It also doesn't help that I have arab blood in me and wear glasses sometimes.. Ouh boy... I would be typecasted so damn fast.

KatoBen

Dang, I really wish she'd just binge season 2 already. I need to see all her juicy reactions to this amazing story.

KatoBen

I'm pretty positive that the book also translated it to "Western Nation."

Skebaba

WTF, I could have sworn they said they went back to the "central province" at the end of the arc, no? I honestly didn't pay any attention to it that much before the end, but I assumed logically it would be "western province" since the northern province was called that & it also was run by a named clan... I also clearly recall a yet-unseen "southern province" being mentioned, which is the main food production region IIRC (IDK if they have an eastern province or nah tho, I can't recall any such mentions so far unlike the others + central)

Here after Aoi Yuuki, Maomao’s VA won best Voice Artist Performance, for the second time as Maomao

Prise par J.A.Z.

Remember Charles Xavier from X-men. Bald and wealthy, but of good morals and no visual impairment.
