Ima be cringe and say FIRST lol

dragon emperor ry

Ah yes one of the most incredible and heartbreaking episodes that made everyone sob your not alone alicia

Scrubthulhu

Sweet! I can't sleep anyway!

Kapitány Zoltán

There was a few tearjerker episodes along the way, but this is in the top 3 for me...

Matthew Newton

The song just isn't fair, man. Songs always get me

Zachary Reeves

Oda! What the hell man? You can’t hit me with same backstory twice like that. 😭 That’s just freaking rude, and you played a sad song specifically about Robin too. Toei can get it too, cause you know that was their idea.

TjAlien

We’ve been waiting almost twenty years for this reunion, even if Saul’s survival was a secret at the time. If they had ruined it with Saul being genuinely hurt from the start, I’d have stopped watching One Piece. (Except I probably wouldn’t. Too peak)

millecamps

and one more episode to the list of "one piece episode that made me cry"

DDayJayke

When I saw the episode my first thought was "How hard will Alicia cry?"

Cloud_Clad

this episode should come with a mandatory box of tissues and a hug T-T

Gregory Prytyka Jr.

Outside of that POS Spandine pinning Akainu's murder of the innocent civilians of Ohara on Robin, this episode is everything to me. This was a victory that Robin needed. And while Zoro and Jinbe got hearts of steel to resist crying, I imagine deep down they were happy for Robin, too.

leviathan_13

Oh damn, I forgot about that panel of Robin on the cliff... thanks for reminding me of trauma, anime.

leviathan_13

PSA: Lol, if you want to hear some of Alicia's commentary about this episode, it's at the beginning of Re:Zero 2x3.

Hynkka

Man, I had such a nice Sunday too. Had a long walk, took a refreshing shower, cooked a nice meal and then sat down to watch One Piece expecting exciting Elbaph exploration. And ended up crying into my food. 😭 I read the manga and am current, but this still caught me totally off guard.

Chunkyfingers

One of the handful of times that Robin calls him Luffy. She usually calls him Captain.

I'm following way too many nsfw accounts to use a name here

I rarely cry, but reading this chapter in the manga I was already teary eyed. But the anime out did itself, what an incredible episode. I don't think any other episode has ever out done the manga by this much and the manga was already great. Simply amazing.

Silver Raven

We're all the straw hats in the end.

Hoboffet

Girl…. SAME! It’s so nice to have someone share my same level of emotion for anime

Setsuna

Toei really wanted to make the firrst AMV of the reunion

Filthy Casual

How many episode in this season?

DoctorGeagle

I would not call this a heart breaking episode. This was a heart healing episode.

Taka

the last panel of Luffy reminds me of Fujitora’s words wondering what his face looks like and surmising it must be filled to the brim with kindness.

Dennis Christian Nikolajsen

i Personally also love that his reaction was immediate, when Luffy's mind is on food mode not a whole lot can change that.

Easy Phil

Ah fuck! Why did I end up watching this twice in a row?! I have places to be man! And now I'm a horrendous blubbering mess.

Tobias Reinhold

Quick google search says that it's gonna be airing in Spring and Fall every year, 13 episodes each. (So April to June, then a 3-month break, then October to December)

Sam Marsh

For some people, just living can be the hardest thing in the world, no matter how hard you try to face the hardships of the world with a smile and a “dereshishishi”. But I’m so glad that Robin clung to life long enough to meet people who love and accept her to the point that they would wage war on the world itself to protect her. This reunion hit all the right notes, and I’m beyond happy for Robin and Saul.

jdoggivjc

To this day I still have a hard time getting over the idea that people look at a 9-year old girl and think to themselves "yeah - she really is responsible for all of the world's problems" instead of calling out the obvious bullshit... until I realize there's plenty of that going on IRL. But this episode washes a lot of that away. Despite the world being against her, she chose to live, and as a result found the friends that were promised to her. And this reunion was everything.

David

I think heartwarming is the right word for this episode, unlike Kuma’s story who was really just sad and depressing, in the end we cry tears of happiness for Robin that finally was able to reunite with Saul

ArterVex

was waiting for this reaction after the episode aired, didn't disapoint

Kerbecs hades

I knew it was gonna tear up but I was choking back tears i just finished re-watching enis lobby and omg this episode had be balling at work while I eat my lunch 😭 it was so good

Ebofa

I WEEP Not much else to say about this one. BACK TO CRYING.

FreakoNico

Robin: I want you to praise me… for being alive Saul:I’m so proud of you for staying alive Robin for season one Robin: 🫪

Timmetry

I almost never cry at shows... maybe only a handful of times in all of One piece... But this episode got even me! Simply beautiful.

Yagi di Hoshi

i am so glad to be watching this like this with Alicia. god idfk how many places ive already said this, but i was a hopeless high-schooler until i experienced the whole of Enies Lobby in 2010 on spring break. then i felt my life feel its trajectory turn around with that in addition to the level of hope i saw in Impel Down as i was coming to term with my queerness. dunno if it was due to alicia, or the episode itself, but yeah i had a nice scream-cry just now. omfg. last time i felt this was the end of Stone Ocean a few yrs ago. love this life & my whole ambition

YubarReingok

I've been waiting for this episode for so long. I cried at this moment in the manga, and I cried just as hard seeing this again. It's such a great, happy moment and I love that Robin got reunited with Saul.

KokoPelly

Saul really did love Robin, you can't tell me that wasn't his little girl. Luffy looking so proud of her at the end was so great too. They all love each other so much and that's one of my favorite things about this show

Spicy Noodles

tbh Im genuinely so mad they did not put the "SAY YOU WANT TO LIVE!!" part after the recreation of Saul telling robin she'll meet friends someday for sure" moment. the montage was good just not soul shattering good 😭

MonkeyDLuffyko

I really love the how much effort robin put in to meeting her friend again. Like we know she had her hair cut to be similar to when she was a kid, but even went as far as to wear a similar outfit as when she first met Saul too, wearing a maroon coloured dress. Edit: I posted this comment literal SECONDS before unpausing and alicia pointing it out too xDDD

Baul

Pure peak the only "criticism" I have if they put the credits at the end and have a shorter preview for the next episode cause I did kinda wanted to see the whole crew crying in full screen but goddamn seeing Robins happy smile throughout the episode was great pure awesomeness

Nikolaus Trixner

Oda really be like "Hey want me to make you cry with a backstory?" "Wanna see me do it again?"

2026-10-07 05:00 I read the manga of that one panel of Robin standing on a cliff followed by another panel of her mother telling her to live. The balls that Toei had to perfectly capture that thought of an 8-year old Robin “un-aliving” herself was tragically masterful and almost how I envisioned it. No matter how many times I watch that episode that one moment still gets to me.
