This episode shows 1000% why someone like Coco is needed. It's always a great idea to have new eyes to look at something and offer fresh ideas. Especially in closed off societies. People tend to get to stuck in their ways especially when in an echo chamber.

Agott will be in danger, it seems...

Egregore

I’d love to learn whatever forbidden spell the Brimmed Caps used to trade their sanity for unlimited aura.

Tarteh is my boy. my favourite bean. Tetia is my favourite among Quifry's apprentices, but Tarteh is my boyyy!

Somerando9

Sasaran! Prepare for more trauma.

Sam Marsh

As someone with a disability, I find Tartah’s struggles very relatable, especially when it comes to coming up with creative and often roundabout ways to solve problems that others can do with relatively little difficulty, but I’m glad that he realised that just because some things are a lot more challenging for him doesn’t mean they’re out of reach.

fun fact of the day (although im not sure if someone already said this in here or previous witch hat atelier reactions) the soundtrack for the anime has been made by the same composer Yuka Kitamura, who did the eldenring, dark souls , sekiro and blood borne soundtracks, so i can't wait when they officially release the OST

cyberspacecat

Lol, now I understand why someone called Tetia's accent danish

Luke Wilkinson

As you seem to be enjoying the dub for this (and it is really good), I'd highly recommend Lord of Mysteries. It also has a top notch dub cast and the VA for the MC Klein is Joshua Waters who is the VA for Qifrey.

I just read volume four of the manga yesterday and well, it's truly terrifying. I'm excited to see how they adapt it.

23:22 wait- . . . SHE'S SWEDISH???? I had SUCH a hard time telling what kind of accent she was doing, and then it turns out to be some sort of weird hybrid Swedish accent? Well that or Danish. Either way, Scandinavian! As a Swede, I am ashamed it took me this long to figure out

WillGlacier

Danish? I thought it was Swedish? Tho I guess both Swedish and Danish people spell "Hej med dig" the same way. Guess I just assumed it was Swedish since "Hej med dig" is more common a saying in Swedan than in Danmark

cyberspacecat

I haven't heard "hej *med* dig" in either Danish or Swedish tbh as a Norwegian - DK and SWE both use "hej" and "dig", but I saw a post from the VA who said she went for Danish so my bet is on that.

Aiko

"Hej med dig!" That caught me so of guard but i screamed i knew it cause of her accent, hehe

Aiko

That's Swedish, as a swedish citizen, i know

Sweyn Nelson

Is my app tripping or did we jump from episode 5 to 10?

Lazy2ns

Me too bud. I couldn't pin Tetia's accent down either until she spoke those familiar Scandinavian words. I think it might be Danish, but that's the only Scandinavian language they teach in elementary school here in Iceland.

Damn, this episode hits hard. I am colorblind and I know all too well the problems it can cause. It's rough learning all the opportunities that are closed off just because of it. It was heartbreaking learning my dream job that I had as a child was no longer an option because of a disability. All the small struggles that people don't think about and the creative solutions just needed to function as the average person. I really like this bit of representation

LittleMoist

the aura comes with the brim of the hat

Brittany Allison

the voice actor said it was a slight Danish accent

Aidyn

Danish huh.... couldn't pinpoint it but as a Swede there was something about her accent that slightly annoyed me (this is a joke) The "hej med dig" caught me hella of guard as i couldn't hear a single trace of scandinavian in there

Aidyn

Hej med dig - danish Hej på dig - Swedish but i guess hej med dig probably gets used in the southern parts of Sweden
