Fuck man I’m so behind on this, I’ve been watching too much stuff lately

Drailvarr R2Q5

so about interactions and how it relates the the actual campaign: in the campaign, pike and vax actually were super close and would often take night watches together to discuss the gods and faith and stuff. due to the restructuring of the plot for TV it is understandable why they changed this. Vex was actually the one with the least connection to pike in the actual campaign, but that was mainly because campaign pike also had feeling for Percy and never really got the chance to act on them before Percy and vex became a thing. Keyleth and pike also were not super close bc kiki had massive beef with the gods (not to the extent she does in the show) because she felt very abandoned by specifically the nature god Melora and partially blamed her for a lot of things: namely giving Raishan her curse, which caused Raishan to join Thordak and the rest of the Chroma Conclave and subsequently nearly wipe out the Fire Ashari.

Pike never, ever lost faith in her goddess either, never turned her back, never had all this angst...she was one of the few stalwart members of Vox Machina to never waver specifically because she drew power from her beliefs. Can't say I'm a big fan of whatever they are doing with this version.

@Patrick As I understand, it's taken from angles that Ashley would have liked to explore in the tabletop game itself if she hadn't been absent for so much of it due to filming Blindspot.

14:40 things are SOOOOOO much different compared to the campaign. There's a lot of key points but it makes sense how the show is restructured . I think the main factor on why so much is different is that 95% of the time in the campaign, the whole group was together acting out all of these events together. In the show, they are able to split up the characters and have their own moments. A reminder about Pike is that her actor (Ashley) had to miss a lot of sessions and I believe she's mentioned that if she was able to stay more, she would've liked to explore different ideas with Pike
