Capped Pluto

This is where everything gets big

Bluestar

Lord Genome is certified king shit. Aura farmed so hard when he left the lazengann to punch Gurren.

Crawlingchaos03

Haha!!!! "Why is it that big!" oh boy XDDD

Chamoun101

Peak Lagann! ❤️‍🔥

Christian MH

haha Your mentality is lagging behind the show, this is a 1 season anime, we don't have time for bullshit (save for that one episode cof cof) only hype and belief. Once the drill starts spinning we do not stop until we pierce the heavens themselves!!

WillGlacier

The fact that The spiral king said "mechs are shit" and just walked out to PUNCH GURREN LAGANN with his FISTS is the reason why he's like top 5 antagonist for me. Saucy as fuck

Silver Raven

Thus, ends part 1 of Simon's story. Lock in it's about to get crazy.

NoviTall

If Kamina's death was the end of the tutorial, then this was lvl 1

Tony

We made it to Time Skip! Let’s goooooo!! …I hate the next like three or four episodes though if I remember right lol

SONICX1027

Time Skip is next, and Alicia will finally learn what Lordgenome means by his warning

DasBigUn

Time Skip And...oooo boi dose it go to insanity and beyond

BakaSama

Looking forward to the next part of this series because my memory of it from when I originally watched this show is very fuzzy.

JuanmaRailgun

Time for shit to get really real from here on out

DrOverbuild8363

Yeah, one of the really cool things about this show is that it doesn't follow the same rules as most other shows. It takes your expectations and completely obliterates them when you least expect it. Very few shows kill off a main character and have a seemingly series ending final battle a little over halfway through it, so of course its unexpected.

UltramanUltimo

Lordgenome is so manly he doesnt need a mech to win a mech fight

Nightmareman99

“That’s a big ship!!!!” Yeah Gurren Lagann in a nut shell get used to that 🤣 Well you guys made it past the tutorial time for the real show to start Next episode is gonna be wild Jokes aside Gurren Lagann doesn’t give a shit about the regular show structure. They get paid by the job not hour they got shit to do places to be. They go on far longer and delve much farther than most anime will care to show

Tyler Brasher

Alicia is not ready for whats to come

Crazyone

This is the end of act 1, act 2 coming up.

MMdock

Now the real show begins.

GreedOfGram

It's been so long since I watched this. My mind just kept yelling "Phrasing!" throughout this episode XD

UltramanUltimo

The 2nd pilots of Lazengan were LordGenome's consortium. YES the man was using his sex slaves as literal batteries for his robot. Also Lazengan if you follow Gurren Lagann's name means its "Lazen" and "Gan".

Yehaen

Forgot how much AURA Lordgenome just oozes

Kamen2D

The question is, will Alicia will look now the movie part 1, or will she see act 2 and then the movies?

DRedd

Wow, Nia. Can't believe your boyfriend drilled your dad like that.

Sam Smith

Whats next? What’s next is that we gonna get bigger better and crazier action!! STRAIGHT TO THE HEAVENS BABY! RO RO FIGHT THE POWER!!!

the ampersand one

"if we kill the big bad now where do we go from there?" idk, probably the one place that hasn't been corrupted by capitalism.

DustyDraugr

THAT was the end of Cour 1, Now on to Cour 2! LOL

José

Alright time for the half of the show that etched itself into me

subzerostolly

I love Gurren Lagann you can never predict how a battle will go and what comes next. Spiral king defeated yay wait whys there more episodes… gotta keep watching to see.

Jesse

i kinda wish alicia watched this solo so she could take it a bit more serious and i like the way she analyzes stuff on her own. but the commentary IS funny

Crawlingchaos03

That is indeed what she totally said! Ya right 🫰 😆

Broccoli Ben

My jaw felt like it was going to break from how that mofo just walked out of his mech to throw hands 🤣

Diesel Marcus

Alright. You ready for the second half?? We are just getting started!!!

Spicy Noodles

I simply love Lord Genome because hes genuinely just one of THE first Aura farmers in anime lmao

Chase Bray

And now, after 15 episodes, it finally begins

Blake Caplan

Lazengann translates to Spiral Face which is a pretty fitting name for the Spiral Kings mech.

AzureX2

The amount of comments here for this episode that have absolutely no concept of what it means to NOT spoil is insane

Jax

I understood that reference.
