Cheese. 6:40 Keep in mind that JJ is the second most empathetic member on the team and she was skeptical until he brought out the letter. If he brought it up to his superiors they would either dismiss his suspicions or tell him to keep quiet about it.

I know what you were getting at thinking this was going to be a 2 parter, but the season 1 2-parter was the season finale, and the next season's premier.

Cheese. Yeah the reason this was just a single episode was because as Hotch said, the unsub would've been easy to catch, but the fact that his victims were just people who no one would report missing along with the apathetic nature of the police towards the victims made this guy get away with a lot more than he should have.

Ah, the sad thing about this case is that if left longer they would have been called in anyway - her mother was waiting for her, with her baby. She would have called Maggie in missing. She was going to be the spark to draw attention to the missing people if they hadn't gotten called in - but it would have cost her her life. Thankfully, she didn't need to serve that role and got saved.

I do really like cheese, heh. One of the bigger criticisms about Criminal Minds was that it tended to glorify the killers, and while it doesn't always correct that - in the last episode alone we got nearly a full backstory on the brothers - at the very least in this one the focus of the story was in the proper place: The victims. 63 homeless people missing, and the story focused on how many others just didn't seem to care. However, they were given the lion's share of the focus, and we didn't even get the killer's name, stressor, accomplice, or face until the very end.

Huh Joel haymich from rooster teeth was a cop during the profile scene. (The guy who says he sounds like a jagoff) his picture was also on a license of their murdered people last episode.
