Hey so spot on about sukima meaning gap. With the endings they are going with the same concept. Sukima is the gap between manga panels or in this case between anime episodes. Basically an interlude. And the ma at the end is a pun because it uses the kanji for demon.

Eiko's bi-panic gives me life every time.

I think the thing I appreciate most about this show is that the adults are actually super competent. It isn't a traditional 'kids figuring out problems before adults even get close' story - the adults are working with far less information than Iruma and the gang, and still almost figured it out just as fast as they did. Kalego, in particular, is one of the most competent and reasonable supporting adults in an anime that I've ever seen.

Su-ki-ma Meaning and Wordplay • Literal Japanese Meaning: Sukima (隙間) translates to "gap," "crevice," or "space" (the small opening between things). In media, it represents a "break in the story" or moments that "fill in the gaps" of the main plot. • The Demon Pun: The series plays on the word by writing part of it using the kanji for demon (魔, ma), turning it into スキ魔. This creates a clever pun meaning "gap between demons" or "demon gaps

Eiko immediately became one of my favorite background characters with this episode. Her bi panic over both Iruma and Ameri is way too relatable.
