BladedBard

You joke about "make demons great again" but... you'll find a lot of stuff like that with Baal...

Let's Talk K-Pop

That kiriwo plot twist is basically the turning point for the series. The moment he revealed his true self basically kills the idea that this series will be a wholesome, comfort show all the way through

Anzac-A1

21:13 Fun fact, not a single slave worked on the pyramids. All the evidence shows that it was Egyptian citizens. It was actually a kind of national service, where everyone had to work on them for a certain amount of time each year.

Quetzalcoatl

I've been waiting for Alicia to react to this plot twist for so long, it's SUCH a good twist that no one sees coming. Am also excited for Alicia's reactions to next two episodes

Random3x

a good majority wouldve been farmers during the flood seasons of the Nile and they were also paid in beer.

hotandsoursoup

I love that Kiriwo is just straight up insane, it's just more interesting that way. Also Iruma being immune to despair because he grew up with narcissistic parents is hilarious in the saddest way.

Sam Smith

16:00 that’s the moment I’ve been waiting for. Perfect. That twist is so good in this wholesome anime Kiriwo is the perfect reminder that this is the demon world and they are demons.

Random3x

Kiriwo is the kind of person Criminal Minds would profile

FlaschenJoe11

Bring that tradition back. Paid in beer sounds awesome XD

FlaschenJoe11

He just straight up Danganronpa Villain XD

Gregory Prytyka Jr.

Yeah, if Kiriwo's plot twist got you acting up this badly, you probably shouldn't play any of the Danganronpa games. Or any game made by Kazutaka Kodaka, for that matter...

Danvi

I usually am fine not spoiling stuff, but not talking about kirio being a disgusting guy was extremely difficult

Infinity

I love the Bleach references since it's very top of mind for me with the anime ending over the next two weeks and all.

Sam Smith

PANDAROOLA!!! yes! I thought it was next episode but yes I love that scene so much.

Ranginald Vagel

Alicia, the average male getting a non-derisive statement about appearance is so rare that getting called adequate is probably going to be in top 5 compliments received in the past year, especially if from a female

Jyxxe

The reason Iruma was able to grab the bomb is because of what happened earlier in the season - Grandpa Sullivan cast a spell on Iruma's hands to protect him when he played Dodgeball. Given how strong Sullivan is, that spell is almost certainly still active.

Neon Citizen Teal

Amy Kiriwo, a third-year bet student, that set up barriers throughout the school, the one who seeks out the ultimate despair, watch out for him.

Jaffar Black Fang

Glad to see this series is back Hope you're doing ok now after the accident

DiabloAnos

Was waiting for the real personality reveal, lol.

Chris White

Can’t wait for the next episode!

One G. O A. T. One Dream

its the: my scars are now my strength, my past is my foundation, no need to waste time crying when you can use that time to move forward.

One G. O A. T. One Dream

yeah, the hole slave part was literally just one Greek man who could not imagine people building that stuff by free wil. Everyone just agreed with him and ran with it as proven fact.

One G. O A. T. One Dream

The disrespect on poor Iruma that he would just "win by Naruto speech" Naa, Iruma might look week but if you think about it, hi is definitely pure muscle and bone given all his work. And of cause hes not gonna waste time trying to convince others of logic ( hes really not even that good with words ) nope, he just smiles and moves forward taken action if no one else is.

Matthias

I mean the whole manga is still mostly wholesome and hopefull.

Jason Ramey

It was watery grain heavy beer. In some ways it was more of a foodstuff than something you would actually enjoy.

GreedOfGram

Yessss, the true self reaction was glorious. I'm so glad I said nothing instead of trying to be clever about it. Edit: 15:53 definitely needs to be a YouTube clip after it leaves Patreon jail.

Anzac-A1

To be fair, imagine someone from ancient Greece, who's never seen anything large than an average temple, seeing the pyramids. I probably wouldn't have believed that people chose to work on something that huge.

Anzac-A1

It wasn't until we found the worker camps nearby that we learned they weren't slaves. There are large cooking areas, rooms with decent space etc.

DrCatspaw

Well... if you HAVE to work on it a certain amount each year... then they kinda were slaves. Just not full time slaves. But by that logic most of us are just wage slaves, but theoretically we can go to another employer. So... it's debatable.

Anzac-A1

Except it was a form of national service, and they did get paid. There's even a known instance of thrm going on strike. These were free citizens.

Chappy

A triple Iruma surprise, tis a good day. I've been waiting for reaction to the full Kiriwo reveal since the second he showed up. I loved hearing all the theorizing and such about how Iruma was going to try and talk him down and how he was going to have a change of heart all to learn that he's just a really, REALLY screwed up dude.

MaskedRider

Yeah, but it's also an example of the wrong kind of demon for their society. We see demons who have messed up morals and ethics, but theres a fine line between being a little quirked up and being straight up a problem.

MaxValion

There's a difference between "a large number of the people working there were paid workforce" and "not a single slave worked there". The latter is just taking the myth and pushing it to the opposite extreme. In any nation practicing slavery, there is a solid chance that slave labour was involved in any project, even if it wasn't the only one or even the dominant one.

Anzac-A1

I said "on the pyramids", not "around the pyramids". Yeah, slaves would've bee naround, but the actual worksites etc don't indicate any were directly involved with the actual construction.

John Knotts

Season 2, Episode 6. I'm so hyped I can't wait

Dr D. Ragon

It establishes him as an ideological foil for Iruma. You could say it's kinda the core of the story in a way, a battle for what the world could be like. Fun and wholesome or more traditionally demonic
