That is a good old classic horror movie. 👍

BartonBelladonna

oooooh boy, girl. if you going all the way with this series, including the TV show, you are in for a relatively consistently good treat! this entire franchise (minus the remake that has Mark Hamill, the Joker himself, as Chucky, plus also isn't that good of a movie) has had the same crew of people working on all of them throughout all of the years. Don Mancini, the creator of the series, who is also majorly of the LGBTQ group, both a member and major supporter of it, has had the most fun with this series and all of the actors and crew members that bring Chucky to life. and many fans claim only about 1, maybe 2 movies, and the last season of the show are the only ones that're considered "less good" than the others. of a horror franchises, that's a pretty good streak of great corny horror!

Isiah Gomez

Beans. You post this 20 mins before my shift starts! Shame! lol

Charlie Katon

Still hoping our rat queen watches Tucker and Dale vs evil but this is also a great time 😊

AnotherWeeb

What kinda beans do you guys normally put in chili? I'm mostly a kidney man, myself

Sean Kibbe

A horror icon has emerged

Stuart Boland

Brad Dourif is brilliant. From child's play to Voyager. You're about to encounter one of the best and most fun slasher characters. They actually had the female cartoon voice actor doing the dolls voice during production, then they realised Bradd was too perfect. Good thing the killer put 1 level into voodoo shaman.

Moviejunkie

Love me some classic spooky movies.

Salem

Brad Dourif is a phenomenal actor. He comes back to reprise his role in every Childs Play and Chucky movie, (except the remake) and the tv series.

Bigbleu

The intro makes me want to watch teenage mutant ninja turtles

Demontrai Jones

Wait..YOU WATCHED A HORROR MOVIE BY YOURSELF??!!!!😱😱😱

Mad Jacks

At the same time as Chucky is about to leave DBD. I don't know if the universe is giving more Chucky to compensate or rubbing it in.

FrankFrogul

this months movie reactions have been top tier

ReaperKitty

Glad to see Alicia is checking out a Slasher icon. Chucky was my cousins favorite horror series, so I hope Alicia enjoys this.

Zanath Kariashi

they used a bit of everything. Little people in some scenes with a lot of movement that is a bit off camera so you can't see it clearly, stop motion or puppetry for other scenes where a guy in costume would be too obvious.

Sam Smith

Watched this movie when I was far too young. To this day I still cant stand dolls. Can't trust them at all.

Daniel Jones

Ade due Damballa. Give me the power, I beg of you!

Jacob Marley

Cute story. The actor for Andy was auditioning when his Mum was in the room and he didn't want to say the line where he says Bitch in front of her so he kept pretending he forgot it. He was so convincing that the director chose him for the part

MorbiDevi

a classic i haven't gotten around to yet, this will be enjoyed with great mirth

Dell Conagher

Shoutout to Polnareff living this scene at 76 minutes in during Part 3.

Lance Ivy

we used to grow chia now everyone wants to eat it ....i remeber scraping that slimy shit over a trol head i am never putting it in my body

RiGdoll

still can't believe spiderman directed this

Troy Wages

I just had to look it up and the body actor was a little person named Ed Gale and he passed away last year

Mickey

Chucky is played by a little person in some scenes and I believe Andy's younger sister played Chucky in a couple scenes too. Other times it's a puppet or animatronic.

Craig

Yesssss watch The Crow!!!!! Its 100000% a halloween movie

bc@t

Finally getting to see her react to more old school horror classics. And what a great pick. Absolutely more please.

Moviejunkie

Who would’ve thought that out of all the 80’s slashers, the one to stay the most relevant would be Chucky.

Jaffar Black Fang

"I have a date with a 6 year old boy" AY YO SOMEONE CALL CHRIS HANSON ON CHUCKIE!

Elias

yesss! The OG horror movies are the best!! This is gonna be so much fun!! Here's to the hope that she watches Nightmare on Elm Street, Halloween and Evil Dead 2!

Jaffar Black Fang

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe that an old urban legend called Robert the Doll and Anabell were huge inspirations for Chuckie That and the satanic Panic and how uncanny dolls look lol

Raimiro

Oh goody the movie that scared me as a child due to believing toys come to life when. I’m not looking… so much trauma back then :)

Vale

Fun fact: Chucky has his grown man strength in the doll's body

Xanbry

Anyone else pause for a second when it said "Screen play by Tom Holland"

RedSkeith

Well damn, was not expecting a reaction to this series... but it's gonna be fun

N00B

I can't believe Tom Holland directed this 8+ years before he was born. And here I thought marrying Zendeya was his greatest achievement. :P

N00B

Yeah. Impressive how he directed this 8 years before he was born.

Discerning Deviant

The Child's Play series has been pretty high on my want to watch list, so I'm delighted to see this go up.

PurportedGrey

I cant believe Tom Holland time traveled back in time to write and direct this!

Vegvisir92

Brad Dourif (Charles Lee Ray/Chucky) played Grima Wormtongue (King Theodens adviser/ Sarumans spy) in the Lord of the Rings The creepy guy who had a thing for Eowyn

Jaffar Black Fang

"Always Decapitate" - Alicia Looks like watching Jojo payed off lol

MinusZero88

HOLY SHIT! 💯 Alicia I'm so thrilled your starting with Child's Play. Chucky is definitely one of my favorites horror icons! This guy scared me when I was little omg! Perfect franchise to start off on Halloween! 🎃

BakaSama

100% did not see this reaction coming, but it was super fun. And I don’t know what Alicia’s talking about saying she’s tired. Her gremlin energy was pretty par the course for her usual reaction energy.

Trevor Appel

Beans. 37:52 Yes, they hired an actual little person for Chucky's moving scenes. His name was Ed Gale, he was an actor and stunt performer who died last year.

Randomocity732

Honest question: Seeing women only as sex objects is sexist yet the go to insult for any loser guy is "you dont get any Pussy". Most commonly said BY women. Youre reducing women down t o a trophy that obviously a loser would never win. Isnt that a bit weird?

Mr.Mystery

I hope she gets to TWD before the month is over since it’s October and what’s more iconic than zombies? That or just some zombie movies.

Nicholas Johnson

They went crazy with the explosions in this.

2026-10-28 07:00 I had a "My Buddy" doll when I was super young. Somehow I saw this movie and he went straight into the basement. 🤣

Crazyone

This franchise got 7 movies and TV series that went from 2021 to 2024. Movies took a break after the fifth movie with how that was (not spoiling) and got better after that.

Levi Price

No way, I was just thinking if Alicia would watch this yesterday. What a cool surprise finding this after work

Mune_Lite

I’m at 1:20:36, you should really watch Bride of chucky, (in full honesty you should watch the whole franchise, it’s really good, and very gay)

Mad Jacks

1:20:25 Don't worry, he is. . . Anatomically correct.

DreadHead

I remember my grandma and mom traumatized me with this movie as a kid, hated dolls for years because of it and hated all the Chucky movies too. Now having finally watched it fully as an adult, yeah it's pretty good. Still don't like Chucky but I can appreciate a good movie!

Xanbry

Time Traveler Spiderman Confirmed!

Grandmasta

This is good info. even if Alicia doesn't check out more, I certainly will thanks to you!

Robert C. Dona

Ahh yes, the movie that still makes me check if I'm alone in the room or not.

GL Knight

By the by, Chucky's played by Brad Dourif who you've seen in something before - he's Grimma Wormtongue from Lord Of The Rings

Ink Magus

You know, this movie never used to really bother me all that much. I thought it was kind of silly. But ever since I became a parent I can not handle kids in danger or distress. It really triggers some gut instinct and upsets me.

TSP247

I have never seen the crow but I have seen the action figure toys for the crow in the collectible toy store i worked for.

Donald Armstrong IV

The producer David Kirschner named Chucky (Charles Lee Ray) after three people who scared him in real life. -Charles Manson -Lee Harvey Oswald -James Earl Ray

JayKayNinja369

I believe That the horrifying theme of the franchise is encapsulated in the last few words. Do you believe me now? Yeah, but who's gonna believe me? That horrifying thought that , you know , something is real , but you can't prove it because it's too unrealistic or impossible. so you either keep talking about it , and they sent you to an insane asylum or you keep that fear inside of yourself and you become insane. To live with knowledge and fear that is so intense is worse than death

JayKayNinja369

I haven't heard such a bad as one-liner from a kid sense F*** y** lucky charms. Points, if you know which horror franchise I'm mentioning here

Nightmareman99

that’s one thing I love about chucky. It’s such a ridiculous circumstance that it makes it so easy for him to manipulate the scenario. Dude is just a master manipulator and loves to gaslight. Also just a cool fun fact Alex Vincent the kid who played the kid Andy is still involved with chunky and Childs play to this day

Christina B

Chucky getting ready to start vogueing

Rogue Pervert

If I remember correctly, the tv show got cancelled on a crazy cliffhanger :'(

Moviejunkie

I kinda wish Chucky held onto that knife with the squiggle on it for the other movies. It’s a cool knife.

SoulReaper88

I honestly couldnt handle watching this movie. Tbh, to horror, its the psychology of the horror that scares me more. But more importantly, I couldnt handle horror movies with kids, especially this one. At times, it makes me sad because the little boy is just too innocent especially with that voice.

Fenronin (Dorian Dubourg)

Somehow I thought I watched chucky with one of your reaction now i'm confused who's reaction I watched

The Emperor Moth

“Dr. Death” Bishop is such an interesting character. Practices genuine Vodou but ethically. When Chucky’s like “help me” he says no and when he asks “why not?” he responds “because you’re an abomination! An OUTRAGE against nature!” and tries to stop him.

Arcane.Joe

She's right, not batteries. She done did said that shit.

GavinGamePad3DS

Unlike MY childhood movie in which toys come to life when people aren’t looking.

Andrew birds

Interesting fact about this franchise: every movie, except the 2019 child’s play, is part of the same continuity, as is the tv series. The 2019 remake was done just to keep the rights to the child’s play name, and it is much different than the rest of the franchise

Umbreeyoree

When Chucky is looming over Andy near the end, the effects are so good I keep thinking that it was digitally retouched. The effects and puppeteering people did a wonderful job here.

4 EYES

Haunted me as a kid

King ETL

I used to be so sacred of chucky growing up now im just creeped out by puppets

Okarun

next is annabelle

Okarun

WATCH ANNABELLE!

Veteran Ghost

4:55 An Ipad is just a processed rock, it's not that different at the end of the day

Okarun

8:38 Oh myan it says JIN MY WOMB! Lmao, That's for all the ladies to read dude, why did I read it??? I can't stop seeing it lol

Noah Benner

I'm going to try to watch this i always got terrified from the clips from yt and horror in general I dont like but ill give this a chance since Alicia

Jack

that cop was checking the shoe of that kid and the sugar on the countertop like he just found a cocaine kingpin.

Kungfugeek8000

1st Crow was so peak it almost turned me into a goth, but I was already a geeky stoner and stoner goths always weirded me out a bit.

DragonPup

@1:38:00 They are so not getting their security deposit back

WillGlacier

Idk why but I want a Chucky spin-off where Chucky has a change of heart seeing this sweet little baby in a single parent household and instead decides to really befriend the kid and go on to help him or some shit like that. Idk kids make me emotional

Berman Cuadra

the crow is an amazing movie hell yes watch it

WillGlacier

1:15:18 The shit Polnareff had to deal with in part 3

Ryan Stewart

"This is the end, friend!" *YEEEEEEAAAAAAAHHHH!!* *sunglasses descend*

Keten

For me, even the bad films are bad in an entertaining way. I think she'd enjoy them. The TV series is a mixed bag, but everything with Chucky and... well you know who(JT), is very fun.

BartonBelladonna

hence why I think Child's Play (minus the remake) is one for the most consistently good horror franchises of all time, whether the good is a genuine good or a "so bad it's good" way, but even if it's the so bad it's good way, this series unapologetically rolls with that description, and you can tell it's meant to be ridiculous from the first movie onward.

Cloud Kitsune's Den

I definitely saw this movie and the 2nd one when I was too young, BUT, I still love it to bits. The suspense build up is very good, and their special effects are perfect. So glad you were able to enjoy it, too~! X3

John Knotts

As far as washing the toy, look at the peddler's teeth! I'd take a toothbrush to that toy and clean every centimeter of it before letting the kid even see it

John Knotts

I agree with the suggestions at the end: "We think you'll like Van Hellsing"

Silverr

eh...kinda. It was a cliffhanger sure but also it was a fitting end aswell. It basically ended in a way the show could end and move on to something else (a new movie is in the works and hopefully it keeps the show canon)
