Possibly one of the dumbest ideas for adoptive parents to do. "This child had a lot of people violently die around him and keeps saying it was the good guy doll. Let's get him a good guy doll". Even if that same doll wasn't chucky...wtf?

Not all the movies are winners, but this is probably the most consistent horror movie series of its kind, most likely because the writer/creator has stayed with the series since day one.

The more the movies go on the more you just fall in love with Chucky as a character. He is just so unapologetically evil and an asshole and it coming out of a doll just makes it hilarious. The movies do start to lean more into the comedic aspects more and more until curse of chucky.

Honestly this is the perfect franchise to continue after October, cuz after the 3rd (only of the only meh ones) they lean hard into the horror comedy aspect, but in an enjoyable way, so it wouldn’t be out of place really! Tho they do start to turn the horror up again after Seed Of Chucky

When I was like 5 or 6 I was sleeping in my moms bed at night and she rolled over on the remote and changed the channel from the Simpsons to this movie. I pleaded with her to change the channel and she was so sleepy and didn't hear anytbing I said and said "go to sleep its late" and I had to hide under the covers till I fell asleep eventually

Yep these movies are great and the most simplistic plot. A serial killer trying to escape from a doll into a human body. The ending of the movies are great and how it leads into the show.

No literally the musician for most of Tim Burton films (Danny Elfman) is the actual voice of Jack Skellington. Johnny Depp, voices Victor from Corpse Bride.

Would love to see you do the rest of these! What makes these so fun is they're all penned by the same guy, DON MANCINI, who took over directing the movies in the 00s. He didn't have anything to do with the 2019 remake but aside from that, every single Chucky movie even down to the TV show that had 3 seasons is all one connected timeline, which makes it one of the most rewarding and fun franchises to sit through!

1:03:24 Another thing to consider about the gun commentary, is that each state has its own gun laws that vary WILDLY with some being very strict (at least for upstanding citizens like this foster family). Chicago I think has or had strict laws around this time. Now if this were a state like Texas or NH (really lean into 'Live Free OR DIE' for a tagline there ;p), he'd be toast.
