Holy smokes I think this is one of my favourite thumbnails I've ever made. I went in and colour graded it completely. Then I went in again and started drawing out and filling in parts to make it so dope. :3 anyways hope you enjoy this episode!

this is technically already my 3rd rewatch of chainsaw man but after finding your reaction to the op on youtube i just had to know what you think of the whole series because of its unique style, so i'm here! as a big fan of csm i really appreciate how you're paying so much attention to the details and story, and the commentary on real-life film making is genuinely super interesting! i really hope we get news about a season 2 or a potential movie of the next arc soon, because it's only going to get *so much* better from the point the anime left off and i'll definitely be here to watch your reactions to all that!

The Dance in the credits is the Hotdog Song from The Mickey Mouse Clubhouse

Based on the amount Tarantino references, the end song sounds like Fall Out Boy's Uma Thurman

Your breakdown of all the sound design details in this was SO good. 100% here for it. Also, I love that this story is full of brief and indirect storytelling, but in a form that's clearly implied and delivered only based on character-knowledge driven context. Denji mentions that he heard his mom died of a heart disease coughing up blood, which means she died when he was too young to know for certain. That explains how Denji's dad ended up millions of Yen in debt to the Yakuza paying for medical bills for his wife who eventually died. Denji's so focused on just staying alive that he'd never have any time to think about WHY, because he's just dealing with surviving the situation. I love those types of context clues where, even though our characters don't necessarily know those sorts of details for sure and we're not told them directly as an audience, the framework and presentation lays those points out in a way that makes the world feel real and that it always extends actively beyond the characters.
