I know this is very old and unlikely to be seen but fun fact. The voice actress for Toph was really 12 years old when Book 2 was recorded.

Kaiki Deishu

nothing beats a ground pound!

Fire Cape

This is one of my favorite ep of TV. Toph is my favorite character in the show and one of my fav of all the characters

DaniDeFig

And here we are. The show is now suddenly *Better*, simply by having introduced her. Toph Befiong. One of my favourite characters of ALL time! Having been born with a physical handicap myself, I may have some bias though ^^' She doesn't let her handicap define her, but it still fucking *Affects* her. THAT'S what's so rare about her presence in Media. Handicaps are usually the defining feature of a character, OR they 'overcome' it to the point where it has ZERO impact on them or the story. In my vast, personal experience, that is NOT how it works. "She's the greatest Earthbender I'ver EVER seen!!" I LOVE how that concept is introduced here, and then *Consistently* reaffirmed THROUGHOUT the show! Toph Beifong. The greatest Earthbender who *EVER LIVED*.

Yas!! This is what I've been waiting for! Not that I haven't been enjoying each and every reaction. I have! But I been binging through these to get to this episode, since I discovered your reactions a little while ago. ^_^

DudeTrue

I know I'm wicked late to the party, but Toph the smash player is short for his first name "Christopher" so it's actually pronounced Toe-f instead of Tah-f. People ask him this all the time, and while he loves the show it is not a reference haha Cool that you played Among Us with him though, he's a nice guy frfr

Back a few months ago when I was on a late night binge of this show for the first time, I remember seeing the title of this episode and getting so excited. She was finally here, the greatest earthbender to ever live! (Sorry Bumi).

God, you spoil us. Thank you

AlexXis Amadeus

Welll sheeeiit. An extra ep? Fantastic! Thanks!

Jess

Bless you 😭

Orange

Thanks Alicia! Toph is amazing character! After my boy Zuko obviously. He is on different level of character writing

Orange

Next episode is literally top 5 of all

Ayo, holup, did you just say you were a FGC commentator? SERIOSULY?! You just keep amazing me. If you don’t mind me asking, what games did you commentate? Did you ever play/ do you still play?

NextDoorAzn

Toph is 100% my favorite character and she only gets better from here. Also I love how you caught most of the wrestling references in this episode. The creators of the show wanted The Rock to voice The Boulder but couldn't get him. However they did get Mick Foley to voice him.

unicrun

OMG yay :D

Verilain

MUA HA HA HA! 🍉 Toph is just the greatest. In the opening animation where they show the earthbender, that was the character they originally were going to make Aang's earthbending teacher.

Ed Ambriz

This is when the show goes from good to GREAT! Keep your tissues on hand from here on out.

Runiic

Two in one day?! You're blessing us! Thank you, but don't stress yourself out!

Kevin

The fight against the Hippo remindet me of Super Mario 64, the fight against bowser where he also shifts the ground around. Toph is one of the best characters in the show.

Nakama Forever

I love this episode. Fun fact, the Boulder is voiced by a famous wrestler named Mick Foley

Tom Underhill

Toph is top three for me, yeah. She's a lot of people's favorite character.

Geno

I relate to Toph I was sheltered really hard growing up and I'm now in my 20's chock full of anxiety for the simplest of tasks. I'm thankful for my childhood and parents but god damn adulting be hard bro

Geno

And dudee I never knew how to kill those quacker motherfuckers in Mario Sunshine as a kid. I remember doing that one delivery mission with the big ass watermelon and getting pissed off lmao

Joey Cat

Still one of the best fights in the series! Appreciate the double upload Alicia and hope you feel better soon.

Jack Frost

Two really cool details about Toph you might notice; She doesn't usually face people in conversation because she doesn't use her eyes. And on that same vein, she doesn't cover her eyes in combat because she isn't afraid of losing them. Cool details.

Cesar Andrade

Smash player here. The guy you played among us with is named toph, but he pronounces it like toaf. As a long time smasher and ATLA fan, its rough getting the different pronunciations right lol.

Jon C

Toph is one of my favorite characters, along with the rest of the cast cause all of the characters are amazing.

Lazy Swordsman

One of my favourite episodes introducing one of my favourite characters :D Toph uses a different fighting style than other Earth Benders to represent her unique abilities to overcome her blindness. Normal Earthbending is based on Hung Gar Kung Fu but Toph's bending is based more on Chow Gar Southern Praying Mantis instead which heavily uses a concept known as "sticky hands" which teaches you to feel an opponents attack through constant physical contact (which is where the concept of neutral jing comes from). Awesome reaction as always!

Sage Ryoku

Keep an ear out for the music there is a ton of really valuable musical cues! <3 Awesome reactions.

BamBam

thanks for the video ^^

Omar

the reason in this episode that they think toph threw the match is because aang's airbending is actually invisible to other people. Its colorized so the audience can see it
