Pixis was being metaphorical regarding saying the guy he put in charge knew his drinks, both bitter and sweet. Essentially, he's saying he knows the guy can make hard choices regardless of the taste it might leave in everyone's mouths.

god i hate that ppl try to 'meme' the nonbinary character in the series. It was truly just speculation for years if they were 'a he or a she' and eventually was confirmed 'hey it dont matter really, they can be both lol'

Rico is not non-binary. Actually, there is another character who is non-binary in Attack on Titan. You've met them already, in episode 9. The one who was excited to kill the titans. Fun fact, in the earlier episodes and manga, they were referred to as a female, but later on Isayama (the creator or aot) had went back through reprints and removed gender specific pronouns for them

I love the difference between Ellen and Mikasa's ODM movements. Ellen's movements are very straightforward and simple, while mikasa uses more inertia and momentum to show her skill. And, the buildings are cg, lol.

Yay another Attack on Titan. I love this reaction series. I admit I never saw the comments but if they were referring to who I think they were it's not Rico. They were probably talking about the Survey Corp member who is obsessed with titans The writer decided to leave the gender of ambiguous and up to reader's interpretation (I think he told the editor "Either is fine" originally when asked about the characters gender). As far as I know the anime consistently refers to them as female and gave them more pronounced feminine traits (according to the wiki). The series creator did go back and remove gendered pronouns from the manga and I think some translations did to but it wasn't done across all languages. Edit: Removed the character's name as I'm not sure if they've been fully introduced yet.

So the character you referred to Rico, isn’t non-binary. There is another character in the manga who is, however it seems like the anime mostly removed any ambiguity and makes them female.

God, Pixis is just unfathomably based. Since you wondered about the "It's a fidget spinner" song and I've been wanting to share some thoughts about the music of this show I'll just start there. The fidget spinner song is called Bauklötze, German for building blocks, and features vocals by Mika Kobayashi. I don't think we've heard that track yet in the show (might be wrong) but we have heard the same theme in a different track, the one you sung along to in this episode which is called, ahem, ətˈæk 0N tάɪtn. Yes, that's the real title, Hiroyuki Sawano loves to give his tracks weird titles. Now, I say we heard Bauklötze in ətˈæk 0N tάɪtn and that's because Sawano also loves working with leitmotifs, essentially melodies that are used in different arrangments in different contexts to provide a sort of musical throughline and identity both for the show and certain characters. So ətˈæk 0N tάɪtn contains its own original leitmotif as well as Bauklötze and a piece of XL-TT which is another track that can be heard in this episode during the first part of Pixis' speech. I might comment on future AoT-videos to just unload a bunch of information about the music, just let me know if it gets annoying.

Back when i was watching this, while it was airing, it was super popular. Saw so many people uploading videos and forums talking about it. What killed it for me was having to wait 3-4years for the next season. At that point i just wasn't interested anymore.
