Today's music references; Tarkus and Bruford! This is also the first time we run into names that had to be changed in localization to avoid potential legal problems with the blatant references, a pretty tame example compared to some really drastic name changes later down the line. So the subtitles say Tarukus and Blueford but the intended names are Tarkus and Bruford. Bill Bruford is a drummer who has been a member of several bands including King Crimson and Yes, the band responsible for Roundabout. Tarkus is an album by English prog rock band Emerson, Lake & Palmer which I haven't heard but appearantly it went to number one on the UK Albums Chart in 1971. That cold ass line about bread slices is kinda meme'd on in the fandom, in no small part to the original translation which was "Do you remember how many breads you have eaten in your life?" which doesn't work quite as well in English. Even with all the absurd bullshit that happens in this stupid, stupid show that I love, I still think Speedwagon's sizzling abs is one of the most outrageous things that's been shown to us.

As a Native Spanish speaker, yes, the name Hamon is very funny to me XD. "Burn! Ham of my Soul!" And yeah, in JoJo all the time something crazy is happening, and they deal with it in really weird but also smart and absurd ways, like the air pockets at the end XD. It's never boring! XD As for Dio... There is a reason why everyone loves taht man even though he kills dogs, he's the most stylish and over-the-top villain EVER XD. He won't simply rip your head off, he'll do it while head-down, holding from the ceiling with his feet buried in it, making a pose of a bodybuilder combined with a female supermodel, while spweing the most dramatic and pseudo-phylosophical shit ever with the must dumb and everyday analogy possible. He's the absolute best XD.
