pretty sure iroh didnt know they were chasing them. thats why when the rumbling was happening he was asking "what now?" in annoyance

Ohh. I just wanted to give you a hug at the end here. You sounded so sad. Hang in there. <3 I promise it's worth it.

Winter Turnip

this one always makes me laugh and sob

Every time I see this episode my only thought is how absolutely terrified the son sandbender would be. Imagine you just jacked and sold a bison thinking your set and all good. Next thing you know this 12 year old is glowing and speaking in multiple voices about to turn you and your whole family into a pink mist. I’d literally crap my pants then and there.

One G. O A. T. One Dream

Its understandable Ang is losing it, Appa is his only remaining thing from his past, and he's under a lot of pressure.

scatman's world

YOU MUZZLED APPA?! (Also I think he went into avatar state not only because hes emotionally upset, but prolly cuz previous avatars felt pain since they have animal friends too like roku)

The shows creators confirmed that Aang did, in fact, NOT kill the Buzzard-Wasp. He just knocked them the fuck out. It would go against everything Aang stands for.

I know damn well if I were in Katara's shoes, I'd have smacked Aang with his outbursts. I get you are hurting, but to be allowed to be so inconsiderate like that. Nah, I would have been pissed off. I don't have the kind of patience to let someone unfairly scream at people trying to help them. Toph saved their lives only to immediately get an earful of how she 'wanted Appa to get taken away.' I'd smack him right then and there. Idk if it's just cause it's a cartoon, or a difference in Western and Eastern culture, but these are the kinds of 'venting' scenes where, in a show like One Piece, that guy gets a tooth knocked loose. Slap some sense back into you.

How am I supposed to sleep if you’re gonna be dropping bangers tonight, bro

Ah, Cactus Juice, nothing quenchier. Seriously though, as a kid this was one of my favourite episodes. It just hit so damn hard. Excited to see future episodes, especially the one everyone knows is coming soon.

This is a really underrated episode, It has some of the funniest moments with Sokka and the Cactus Juice, but it doesn't feel inappropriate because it's totally in character for Sokka to drink that without thinking. And it's a great episode of Katara showing how she strong she is emotionally. And that last scene with Aang in the avatar state and Katara hugging him to get him out is so beautiful makes me tear up everytime.

Ed Ambriz

Keep them tissues handy, the show is real emotional from here on out and tear jerkers pop out every which way. This was kind of the first time we see him kind of still have cognitive awareness while in the avatar state, it's kind of frightening that he was that angry. Love this show, and love you too!

"We're going [Ba Sing Se], this episode or the next" Beep beep two-parter incoming

Lazy Swordsman

Only 4 more episodes to one of my favourites of the entire series.

Joey Cat

That ending is still one of the best scenes in the series, Aangs rage and Katara comforting him, such a short scene with no dialogue but it's so powerful, love this show. Keep up the great work Alicia :)

One detail that I never understood in this episode until recently, is when Aang goes in to the avatar state. I mean I understand him activating it but more on the timing of when. The sand bender said plenty of things to where any one of them could have triggered Aang. Him just finding Appa's kidnappers could have been a trigger. However Aang doesn't fully lose it till it's mentioned that they muzzled Appa. I think this is the breaking point for him because in air nomad culture freedom is so incredibly important that the idea that someone took every part of Appa's freedom away broke Aang.

Aang vengeance arc hit DIFFERENT

Without spoiler, in after 3 more episodes... be ready... some simple tissues will not cut it. But as always great reaction :)

BamBam

I am 100 percent certain after seeing this and her other videos... Made in Abyss is going to Break her!, like... next Level Break her! It broke me to this day and i am usually not the emotional type... anyway great video and thanks for the constant flow of content <3

Youmu Senju

Aang always has emotional outbursts when Appa is involved. Since all the way back in season 1!

Nakama Forever

That music that kicks in when she grabs aang while in the avatar state is so amazing and emotional ❤️

Youmu Senju

For me, the scariest part of this episode, was when Katara grabbed Aang's arm, and he turned on her with all that anger. I was scared he was going to hurt her for a second.

Bardukite

You know, Aang crying during the avatar state makes it seem like all the previous avatars are crying with him, which would make sense since they likely all had spirit animals like roku and his dragon, they would have felt this pain intimately.
