Years later after watching this again the first time. I have a major question. Erina escaped in dios coffin, HOW WAS DIO IN THE COFFIN AT THE BOTTOM OF THE OCEAN IN PART 3

I can't remember where I saw these or if any of them are canon or not, but 2 theories I've heard are that: 1. DIO snuck into a compartment below Erina and then once a boat found her, they left the coffin in the water to sink 2. There was a 2nd coffin.

The Netflix subtitles wasn't clear but Erina did say that she's pregnant. So she has a baby from Jonathan and also rescued another baby from the ship.

When people say they don't like part 1 as much it's very much relatively speaking, comparing it to the other parts. If someone doesn't like part 1 at all they wouldn't continue watching and become a Jojo fan, it just tends to rank fairly low compared to other parts.

When you should look up JoJo’s Eyes of Heaven! The game is kinda goofy but in a good way.

Jojo's video games! There are quite a few! A lot of people were actually introduced to the series by a Jojo's fighting game released in 1998 by Capcom on the CP System III arcade system board, the same board that Street Fighter 3 uses (and Red Earth I guess). It's very specifically a Part 3: Stardust Crusaders game but it actually really good. There was an HD remaster but it got pulled because of some stupid rights issue and was only ever released digital. All Star Battle is also a fighting game. It's not as good in terms of being a fighting game but's pretty good as a fan service vehicle. Spoilers out the ass, though, all the way up to part 8 and only up to part 6 has been animated so far. There's also Eyes Over Heaven which is is like a weird action game arena fighter type thing but it's kinda fun. Got an original story mode as well that involves time travel and shit I think to have characters from different parts meet and stuff. There's a part 3 RPG for Super Nintendo that I haven't played but it seems kinda cool despite being very dated, there's a part 5 game for PS2 that I've only seen snippets of, there's apparently a part 1 game for PS2 as well that I literally just heard of, no idea if it's any good. Anyways, end of part 1! The shortest part and not the highest rated but I like it a lot. I like Jonathan and Dio and their relationship, I like the insane pacing. Jojo's beat Futurama to the head jars by more than 15 years but I'm dead sure it's been done before as well. X-Men did the eye lasers before Jojo's had the Space Ripper Stingy Eyes, though. Good job catching Wang Chung, I'd honestly forgotten that was a reference too! Erina's "A new life had awakened in me" is not a figure of speech, it means she's pregnant. I'm glad you liked part 1! I look forward to the rest of the journey! I do think it gets even better!

As far as I know the battle royal is sadly exclusive to arcade machines and only regionally playable in japan, though we‘ve been waiting for a port for years lol
