I gotta admit... I kinda love Cheston. I mean, he is definitely an asshole and more than a little creepy. But he is just so upfront and honest about it. To the point where he doesnt even lie about why people should sleep with him. Is he a bad sign for the world and a walking red flag? Yes. But he is just a breath of fresh air in a world full of people who lie about this shit.

There's something just... dread-inducing about watching Cecil try to find ways to even put up a fight against Omni-Man by studying Invincible when we know that Mark literally can't even touch Nolan right now. So far, every training session has been Nolan pointing out that Mark is barely even scratching the surface of how strong Viltrumites are - and how strong Nolan is. So no matter what Cecil finds, it won't help. Omni-Man is Superman with no Kryptonite and no solar battery - he's just strong. Full stop.

i mean fundementally sinclair wasnt even wrong, the body is in fact basically a machine. though his way of "fixing" might have been extreme and certainly not consensual

Damn comments really need to shut up with the "I hate Amber" stuff she's new to the series, so let her experience it all on her own smh

That opening scene shook me, I almost forgot how brutal this series can be. Amber does get a lot of hate but I don't see why atm, maybe something happens later? Great upload and looking forward to the next episode

This show is really bloody and gory and what I find the most interesting about that is that while it's quite different from modern superhero blockbusters that's just kinda how superhero comic books were back when Invincible was published. He'll, Invincible was even kinda mild compared to some of the stuff Marvel was putting out in the mid 2000s. Invincible was and still is subversive in many ways but the blood and gore was just the fashion of the time.

So yes the show is super bloody and violent but I really appreciate how they try not to glorify it. Terrible violence in this show always just feels like that, they do their best to justify it sometimes but the scene of William beating Sinclair is a great example of showing how violence can drive people to breaking points. William is normally very much the talker not a fighter, but after seeing someone he cares about brutalized he visits that same brutality on his attacker. It's not glorious retribution but a sorrowful lashing out.
