This season had a beautiful middle finger to Marvel in it. Their forced woman only scene was basically anti-representation which this show subverted with their movie shoot only to subvert it again and turn it into an actually earned moment. Girls do get it done.

The saddest thing about Homelander is you can see the shattered remains of who he could have been if he just had a loving parent, not even plural, just one loving person in his life could have done so much for him. But instead, he was raised to not even be a human, or a weapon, he was raised to be a product, a tool for the corporate overlords to hold up as an icon of their company's true product. I saw someone once say Homelander is what Superman would be if he was evil, but I disagree. I say Homelander is what Superman would be without Clark Kent. Clark Kent, despite being an alien, is what makes Superman human, his love and compassion, nurtured by the Kents, made him who he was. Homelander had that compassion and love but love and compassion isn't a valuable product to a corporation like Vought, so they never nurtured it, they rather have the icon of Superman without the humanity of Clark Kent.

funfact, in the comics that version of stormfront (who was a guy) was actually killed by the boys (minus huey and the female (aka the female of the species, aka simply kimiko in the show)), working together with love sausage (the guy with the stretchy super schlong back from the assylum, who in the comics is a russian superhero). so this means stormfront (a nazi) was beaten by the combined efforts of butcher (a brit), frenchie (a frenchman), m.m (an american) and love sausage (a russian). concidence? i think maybe! (also for context, in the comics m.m. is born a supe, due to his mom being exposed to remants of compound v, since the factory she was working in used to create the stuff in the past, who has to keep drinking his mother's milk to keep his power or he die, hence his name, and everyone else is regularly juicing on compound v to fight on the same level as most supes.)
