MM‘s storyline with his ex, and her new boy is almost one to one what I’m going through with my ex and her new boy. He basically moved into my spot, and now I barely register as their dad, because they spend almost all their time with her and him.. so I really understand what MM is going through because it really sucks when you see another guy waltz into your spot as dad, and make changes to the way your kids are raised to reflect his political, religious and ideological views which are almost entirely opposite of your own.

People mock the idea of a super famous person dressing up in normal clothes and not being recognised, but they underestimate just how different someone could look without makeup and in plain clothes. As humans we're taught to recognise similar things, so when people change how they look even a little, different clothes, new hair style, and so on, it's easy to miss them if you're not looking for them. Antony Starr, Homelander's actor, has even recounted that once he goes back to his natural brown hair and glasses, that people are unable to see him as Homelander... which is ironic since he was Clark Kenting while playing a Superman parody. So don't be too hard on yourself about not recognising people when they change up, that's the idea.
