When Selim saw Ed and Al in the Library a few episodes back he didn't mistook Al as the Full Metal Alchemist like so many others do, he knew exactly who and what they were even that Al was the little brother of Ed(most don't even know The Fuil Metal Alchemist has a brother they just see the armor and think "yep that's him"), even Kimblee who know a great deal about the Full Metal Alchemist mistook Al for Ed. and ofc he hides this cleverly by saying he's just an inspiring alchemist boy with an idol

Something Anime left out: Thing about Kimble, what he said to Winry wasn't a lie. He just left out his orders were to kill doctors and everyone inside that building. In twisted fate, if Scar had not snapped, everyone would had been there and every patient would had been killed too. Instead deaths of Winrys parents allowed other patients to survive and live.

Rewatching Pride's reveal made me realise just how Father and the Homunculi seem to know certain secrets, like how they knew Hughes had found out about the nationwide transmutation circle before he even finish realising it himself. At first you would think it was Bradley telling Lust to kill a loose end after you find out he is Wrath, but then why not Armstrong who knew a lot of the same things? But then you realise that Hughes was in the Central Command (where Selim lives) and that he watches everyone from the shadows, he was watching Hughes piece everything together the whole time.

I think Kimblee was being honest though. He is a psycho, but a weird one. Of course, you'd need to know the character better to get to that conclusion so yours at this point is very fair, but he does have that respect for people who commit to whatever they do to the extreme of risking their lives, and that's just what the Rockbells did.

Bless you! Also that pride reveal is so good glad you weren't spoiled and can't wait for some more MHA though I'd say save it for when you wanna binge a ton of episodes because that season is just peak

There are so many on your face hints throughout the anime that tell you who Pride is that if you go back and rewatch his scenes, you can't help but to laugh at how absurd is to think you completely missed them the first time around. I was laughing so hard when you got to the part where Selim gave his little speech about his "Father." Seriously, go back and rewatch that and you'll see the absurdity too.

I think Alicia is right even though I am a middle child I feel I like oldest siblings that look out for their younger siblings the best but out of all the younger siblings in anime alphonse is the best younger brother of all time probably so much that he almost rivals Ed for me

Kimbly's manipulation of Winry by bringing up her parents' deaths is even worse when you consider the fact that he was indirectly (almost directly) the reason they're dead, because he was the one who injured Scar and got him sent to their care in the first place. And remember how much he fucking loved doing it.

I've been wondering this whole time how you would react to the Pride reveal, how Selim's not actually a baby, but actually an eldritch horror beyond human imagination pretending to be a baby. Like, you've been worried about Bradley killing Selim up to now, but if they ever fought 1v1, while Wrath is incredibly strong, I have no doubt that Selim would reduce him to finely minced pizza topping within seconds.

Kimblee's story actually checks in chapter 61 of the manga; plus he's a lot of things but hardly ever liar, especially when he respects other people's convictions.
