Yoki was an Arc in the old FMA Anime and sure in the Manga. Its was the Arc before Liore. The Elric Brother visit a Mining Town. There was an Alchemist that was selling gold. A lot of it. It was all created by Alchemy and will turn back to Rock after X Time. The Elric Brother uncovert his sheme, and the whole village hunted him out of the village and since then he was on the run.

I don't understand people who can't separate "liking" a character from morally agreeing with what they do. For example, you can "like" a villain because it makes the story as a whole work better and more engaging or you can like them because of how they are written or how they present themselves. It's very concerning that people cannot separate those things, because doesn't that mean they also can't separate reality from fiction? Truly scary.

The house Yoki was trying to steal from was the Armstrong home. We all saw how that went.

I guess it's worth noting that the home Yuki tried to break into was the Armstrong mansion. He got to experience the fabled Armstrong Piano-Throwing Technique that has been passed down through the generations.

I swear I was just waiting for Yoki to say "And I would have gotten away with it, if it weren't for you meddling kids!" XD

Also, some people in the fan community like to affectionately refer to the pair of chimeras as Rocksteady and Bebop.

Yoki had a full chapter in the manga and a few episodes in the 2003 version, but Brotherhood entirely skipped that chapter as they were rushing through the first few chapters to catch up to the cut off point where the 2003 version split off from the manga so they could get to the new stuff. It kinda sucks that the dialogue in the flash back is not being translated for some reason, but basically, Ed tricked Yoki into selling the rights to the mine and all of that came with it and Ed paid with lumps of coal that Ed transmuted to temporarily look convincingly like actual gold. In the flashback, the dialogue that didn't get translated for whatever reason, explains all of that... from Yoki's overly dramatic perspective. It's hilarious.

There was some stuff in this episode that made me remember how much I hope Alicia also watches the outtakes and the 4-Koma Theater shorts.

Something happened to your videos. I can't view them anymore. Don't know if itself Patreon or the streaming website itself. Looking into it.

"We need Scar to translate this book" "What do we need him for?!" "To... Ed, you OK buddy? Why don't you go wash your face to ginger up a bit then we resume this conversation?"

Peter Gilmore

You can probably watch the one off episodes of Yoki and even how Hawkeye got Black Hayate from the other series. Each has their own episode and doesn't really affect each series on its own.

Adriborte

that family Yoki tried to 'request a charitable loan' from? They have a distinct design aspect about them...

Gareth Green

If you check out the OTHER FMA anime, you will discover that the rich family who threw Toki out were the Armstrongs.

"their not relevant" "they are not staying around for long" :D

Alphonse didn't snap his neck, it was just choke hold. It's not common knowledge but there are 2 types of chokeholds, and air choke and a blood choke. Obviously the air choke makes you unable to breath and and takes a long time to knock someone out. The blood choke stops the blood flow to the brain and only takes a few seconds and is a bit safer to use than the air choke. Both can result in death if improperly used. The police have actually been banned from using either of them due to using them improperly and killing people. I'm very sure the military still use them and receive a lot of training on how to use them safely.
