Thank you for reacting to this show! Bocchi quickly became one of fevourite shows ever, love it to bits! Have you ever considered watching K-On! (the exclamation point is part of the name)? It's not really the same but it's another feel good anime about girls in a band, made a real impact when it came out back in 2009. Doesn't have the relatable anxiety baby, doesn't have as crazy visual gags and the animation isn't as accurate but it's a very cozy show with very pleasant characters, "good beans" if you will. Just a recommendation.

I love how Kita recognizes just how good Bocchi really is and just wants to be good enough to help her shine. That is an amazing friend. We really do need a second season and I think it will happen. They are planning to adapt this season in a couple of compilation films and the response to this anime has been wild so I have no doubt they will ride that wave.

this was a good watch and seeing bocchi trying her best was heartwarming and i cringed hard and looked away when she jumped but im happy i got to watch this lol thanks for the rock videos 👍

Ok so fun fact but the song played during the end credits is Kessoku Band’s cover of “Korogaru Iwa, Kimi ni Asa ga Furu” by the band Asian Kung-Fu Generation who have done a TON of anime collabs (Naruto, Bleach, FMA) and the members of Kessoku Band are actually all named after the members of Asian Kung-Fu Generation and alot of the episode titles are songs by them

This does need a S2... but I'm not sure there's enough manga content for it yet. I do know they're coming out with 2 movies, but they're both compilations of S1.

Would love to see more of these chill slice of life/comedy type anime on the channel. Its absolutely infectious when an author is using a series to plainly express their passion in something. Like this for music, eizokun for filmmaking, Yuru camp for camping, etc.

k-on next?

1:50 The juxtaposition of Kita singing lyrics written by Bocchi is one of my favorite things about this show xD

Kzman117

I hope there is a season 2

MadMax 1513

i bet she would LOVE watching K-ON

SHOCK JOHNNY

The first time I saw her headbanging, I laughed my absolute ass off. Like maybe a whole minute. Funniest shit I saw around that time. Not so funny now as it was then.

Psencike

I *love* that first song. Another thing about the music that really hit me was that I could totally see Ryo writing the music for it.

Nuclear Boarhead

Years ago I was at a big heavy metal concert, and the first band, Blackguard was doing a really solid set, but no one was prepared for their vocalist to jump into the crowd when he did and he *almost* did the same thing as Bocchi here. Luckily me and like 2 other people kept him up just long enough for the rest of the crowd to carry him, but I fell flat on my ass cuz ALL his weight was dropped on me lmaooo.

Aziouss

To this day i am convinced the father is a hentai protagonist and this whole story is a spinoff from that.

crazizzle85

A popular speculation is that the constellation song is about bocchi and kita's relationship with each other. How they both admire each other for having something special that they don't have themselves. It's amazing.

CarbonDog

Bochi's dad has the same VA as Ryuji from Toradora

Solaire22

I love the fact Bocchi is singing the song during the end credits. It really makes it feel like she's found her place and has found the courage to express her growth to the world.

Anzac-A1

300,000 Yen is roughly $2,110 US. Guitars start at just a few hundred US, so Bicchi's got enough to buy a really good one.

ASJonesy

if you liked bocchi you should also check out an anime called Mongolian chop squad.

RussellSD

"Has she once practiced that" She's probably practiced everything xD Practicing is all she did for 6 hours a day for years so she probably tried every concept she could find.

Bowman C.

Could have sworn that list of shows included a K-on reference.

Eldritch Rolls

Season 2 has been confirmed, no release date yet, but im guessing it will be early 2026.

Aerowind

Mentioning how complex the bass line is funny in context cuz Ryo is the one writing that and you know she's never going to give herself a boring part.

NebulaNyx

This was such a good watch. Cant wait for Season 2.
