A lot of folks here asked me for a VST version of the Windows sequencer.I decided to make a CLAP version, as it's an open-source plugin format that has superior CPU multithreading and enhanced MIDI routing capabilities. This will work with Bitwig, Reaper, FL Studio, Studio One Pro, and a few others. Ableton does not support CLAP, and if that is disappointing to you, then please do file a support request with Ableton as it's a little ridiculous that they haven't included support in recent version upgrades! I've only tested this in FL Studio, but the plugin can sync with your DAW and can send MIDI messages to up to 16 plugins at once. To install: Simply place the .clap file in your CLAP plugin folder. The default on Windows is usually: c:/Program Files/Common Files/CLAP

thank you!

Congratulation on making the first CLAP-only plugin that doesn't need any particular feature of CLAP that isn't in another plugin API. We don't support CLAP in Ardour because there are no features of CLAP that are not in LV2 or VST3 except for modulation capabilities which we cannot provide at this time. Not sure whether to applaud or cry :)

Extra proud to be a reaper user today 😎

Thank you Benn. Not just for this but for all you do!

Thank you for adding to the CLAP ecosystem. Supporting open formats benefits users as a whole.

I'm not against trying to make it into an LV2. Honestly, if you like, I can provide you with my repo for the CLAP as well if you want to integrate it into Ardour somehow! (I know it's a weird "feature", so I won't take it personally if you'd rather spend time on more traditional stuff)

Huge fan. Thanks for your dedication to our rights and liberties. Thank you for your dedication to the craft of music for healing. May you resonate for eternity my brother.

Benn, please do an expose on ES&S and Dominion voting vulnerabilities because I do t think those companies are doing anything to change their machines prior to the coming election. It appears we may have to shame them publically into patching their systems. They are using cellular modems and NY state found over 400 vulnerabilities in their last testing. Elon has suggested he was able to hack into them using Starlink. I’m seriously worried that nothing is being done about this!

thanks! jw, which DAW do you like best? i’m currently looking for one that’s not too intimidating, but still has all the necessary features to actualize musical concepts/ideas

Can you provide the CLAP repo please? While I was getting ready to play with the plugin, I realized that you were able to build a plugin based off of (what I think) was a compiled python project, which is something I find very interesting. (Plugin development is primarily C/C++ for those wondering why I am more curious about that bit..)
