Etta Eskridge

I always loved this episode. The Horta was so unique and Spock communicating with it was extraordinary. Finding the unexpected "out" from what seemed like a lost situation is such an important lesson for all of us but especially children. It also reminds me of a Tshirt I was given with a picture of McCoy saying "Damn it Jim, I'm a Doctor." Well done McCoy!! Great reaction as always!

Warp Reactor

I LOVED that too :D 'Dammit Jim I'm a doctor not a bricklayer' I have used that twice IRL since watching this episode :) Have a great one, my friend!

I think it was Who Mourns For Adonais and Devil in the Dark that were the first two episodes I ever saw on TV that made me decide Star Trek was worth watching properly (ie, completely, from the start) I love this episode. Bill Shatner's autobiography described a time when Nimoy was doing his "Pain! Terrible pain!" bit, and Shatner ruined the take by calling "somebody get that Vulcan an aspirin!" which at the time seemed funny, but now I've had a crack at acting, I see more of an indicator of what a dickhead he is lol
