Don't worry I'm changing the thumbnail for YouTube (don't want to spoil)! This one is just for the damn fine Legends on Patreon :)

Was playing Baldurs Gate 3 when I saw this episode dropped. I immediately saved and existed. You have been a joy to watch along with.

Brad Johnson

One of the best episodes of TV made

Jordan

I'm stoked that you're going to read the books, the books and the show compliment each other nicely.

Ian M

No worries about being spun up kopeng mi

"This is one of the best TV shows I've ever seen in my life" - You're damn right. It's criminally under-watched. I absolutely adore it. And going to be honest, the second best thing to enjoying this show has to be going on the journey of it along with you. You are doing it an amazing honor with your careful analysis, detailed observation, and emotional investment. Thank you so very much.

HollisHenry

Damnit - now you have me weeping in your outro 😭

T. Arnold Ferguson

When this episode first dropped, a lot of folks proclaimed it to be the best sci-fi they had ever seen. That was before the rest of the series aired. IOW, there are a lot more great episodes in your futur,,,and a lot more we're waiting to see you react to. 🚀 I totally agree with your comments about the quality of the show. There's an interesting video on YouTube which discusses the lighting and cinematography aspects. I highly recommend watching it, BUT it discusses scenes all the way through season 4 so avoid till you've seen that.

Thank you so much for the kind words, my friend. Appreciate this amazing community and your support means the world.

All I can really say is that I hope you got a new pair of brown pants, my friend! What reading the books did for me is to make me appreciate the show even more. The books came first and I doubt it ever crossed their minds it would ever be adapted, right?! What the show did with the source material just blew my mind. I'm exceptionally excited that Thursday is only 2 days away now, I can't wait for you to jump into the second story arc! Oh yeah, I was going to say, if I had to class Miller, I always thought he was also a Paladin, just not a LG one. He had the same conviction to his own ideals, just as Holden does. Until next time!

"This is the best tv show I've seen in my life" A hearty AMEN to that beltalowda! Also I wholeheartedly agree with your statement about how horrendously underrated this show is! I absolutely cannot believe this show is not talked about more in the media or in society compared to Star Trek, Star Wars, GoT, Walking Dead (back in the day you swear everyone at work had to say something about it), certain movies, etc. Once I finished the show I just couldn't figure out how this one just not one of those deals constantly talked about and hyped!

Shawn Anomaly

To think about your outro and how you're merely in S2 when the show is only going to blow your mind even harder down the road is a testament! For me the biggest testament of how great this show is is the fact that there are NO other tv shows I watch Reaction Channels for. I have (and will continue to) watch nearly every Reaction Channel react to "The Expanse" and it has not gotten old (I've lost count now on how many full series watch throughs I've done via Reaction Channels). I've enjoyed other tv shows in my life but NONE as much as The Expanse. Despite the other shows I've enjoyed I can't watch them again. The Expanse though...I'll probably be rewatching this show until I die (hoping I would've laid eyes on S7-S9 by then)!!!

I feel like I repeat myself because as I always say in these comments: Your emotional involvement in the show is everything. Of course there's your perceptiveness, great remarks and analysis. But just seeing you feel so much for the characters it warms my little heart. I'm weeping along with you on these reactions! You said all there was to say in the outro, so me I've nothing more to say than just share the moments that stuck with me from this episode: - Avasarala realizing the Roci's crew are risking their lives to save them all. - Holden, who wouldn't hesitate one moment to follow Eros if he was all by himself. But he's first checking with each one of his crew member, hating the fact he'll have to put them in danger as well. - The realization of the whole path Miller took since episode 1. - Realizing the reason Eros is moving toward Earth is because of a girl who just wants to go home. Yes, seeing Top 100 show lists that don't even mention The Expanse should be considered a crime. It's disgusting. But each day more people discover this gem, and we all are here for it! See you on the next one, Beratna!

Yes, the fact that the authors worked on the show created so many opportunities for them to improve things! It's great as an artist to be able to do another pass on your work to adjust and fine-tune here and there.

So glad that you're here, my friend, and when I am done, I'll be joining you all in supporting the Expanse reactions of others. No way I am ever leaving this show or fandom :)

I couldn't watch last night but what a treat for this evening!! Still my favorite episode of the series because of how much I sat on the edge of my seat enthralled (even as a book reader!!) by the performance of Thomas Jane and Florence Faivre as Miller and Julie. Even though I KNEW it would happen, I just sobbed when Miller took off his helmet. And the set and the music (the score is a tune without ending or resolution BTW), just spectacular. And Chrisjen saying good bye to Arjun. The incredible bravery of our heroes. And then they toast the absent Miller as you said, he just gave his life for a planet he had never seen. Awesome (and wow to your predictions all over!)

Jotace

Ah, Home. The place where the sacrifice of one person beats hundreds of nuclear missiles And where do we go from here? There is no way that they can top this!! 🤭🤭

Drathdir

Episode 5. Devastating.

Mark Wood

Actually Miller's primary reason to go into the beast isn't to save Earth (sure its consequence, but it's not his motivation). He's doing it primarily to kill the thing that killed Julie.

Simon Shea

Agreed on this show deserving so much more than it has gotten in media coverage, critical acclaim, awards, continued financial support, etc.
