Good morning everyone and welcome back to 'The Bakery Bears Advent Calendar 2024'

Its time to get warm by the fire with Kay. She is back in our 'Country Cottage' for the next section of this year's MKAL. Today it's time to deal with the thumb of your gorgeous mitt. There will though of course be time for more story by the fire.

Join Kay this morning as she:

  • Opens ‘Day Seven’ of our ‘Advent Calendar’
  • Welcomes you to the next section of this years knit along and mentions the Jane’s Mitts Series https://www.patreon.com/posts/janes-mitts-part-108305337
  • Shows you her progress so far & lets you know what we’ll be doing today
  • Shows you how to knit the thumb increases for the mitt
  • Demonstrates her perfect way to produce a knit front back
  • Reads to you the next section of this years ‘Christmas Story’
  • The next section of the pattern is attached to the bottom of this post. If you are uncertain how to download the pattern, this video shows you howhttps://www.patreon.com/posts/how-to-find-and-47907523

Thank you so much for watching and we'll see you tomorrow for an adventure with Dan!

Merry Christmas everyone!

Another lovely, cozy show! I would be further along, but i used the wrong sized needle and had to restart. I am still on the cuffs of my first mitt, almost reached the popcorn garland. I am looking forward to those thumb increases, much simpler, as you say Kay, than left and right increases. Thank you for all the work and thought you put into all your patterns. See you tomorrow for a festive adventure!

I was lucky enough to be online as this instalment landed today! Couldn't resist watching straight away! ☺️ The Christmas Story is lovely.. The very idea of a cosy living room, with one reading aloud and the rest knitting is just so gorgeous! 📖 🎄 🧶 Looking forward to some thumb fun after tea! 🧶☕️🎄

Can’t wait to get my chores done and then sit and knit this next instalment 💕

Ever since I was a little girl I’ve loved being read to. Thank you, Kay, for reading to me while I knit.
