Good morning everyone and welcome back to 'The Bakery Bears Advent Calendar 2024'

In today's festive adventure, Dan and Kay visit Kirkham Priory. This wonderful place is surrounded by gorgeous fir trees so it makes it the perfect seasonal setting for a little walk. Along the way we discover a fascinating link to D-Day and reveal its links to this year's 'England: A Castle Nation' series!

Join Dan & Kay this morning as they:

Thank you so much for watching and we'll see you tomorrow with more mystery Christmas knitting!

Merry Christmas everyone!

I remember seeing the priory from the bus. Very dramatic! And the connection with D-Day and therefore my Dad. Looking forward to the next part of the hat and more of the story, tomorrow.

Beautiful ... just beautiful .... Peaceful... pretty... and so interesting... ✨ 🎶 And I love all the little musical nods throughout too; to rise and fall... and to the gorgeous new winter walks... just lovely... Happy Day 18 Everyone 🎄✨

I'm a googlearther too. First I wiki the place then I look it up to Geocaching and then I googleearth it to find parking! Even though I may never go there I'll be prepared! Thanks for the Advent.
