Valkorion knew that his opponent was planning to commit suicide, but that was a luxury that he wasn't going to give the leading Necromancer from the Cult of the Dammed.

He then raised his Sealed Artifact Excalibur, and with all of his power, he rushed towards the Alumeth Alard, who was already in the middle of casting some suicidal spell, when he ordered all of the remaining Undeads under his control to jump on Valkorion and hold him down.

With one swift hack of his sword, he pierced through the heart of the Necromancer as the Holy Light from the Excalibur started pouring into the Alumeth's body en masse and destroying it from within.

The Beyonders of the Death Pathway were rather peculiar in this aspect because after reaching a certain Sequence or dwelling deep enough into the forbidden arts, their very own Souls started to become corrupted and dark.

This was epically true for the members of the Cult of the Dammed. They were even more corrupted than the other Beyonders related to the dark and more dangerous Pathways, and even a fragment of Excalibur's Holy Light was more than enough to injure them severely.

This was especially true when the Holy Light was directly targeting their Soul, as it was with the Alumeth Alard, the pinnacle Seqeunce 6 Necromancer, who shrieked in pain, attracting the attention of the remaining cultists from the Cult of the Dammed.

The power of the Holy Light from the Excalibur was like a deadly poison to the necromancers and other dark beings; the moment it came into the content with the Alumeth's being, the Sequence 6 Necromancer screeched in pain as his entire being was being destroyed from the inside.

Even this millisecond that several of them didn't pay attention was enough for Gotrik to bash the skull of the Seqeunce 6 Nightmare Beyonder, who looked at his leader in horror and shock because a direct disciple of the High Deathpriest was killed in these ruins.

The Holy Light from the Excalibur that the Sealed Artifact was passively releasing did its job splendidly as it shot through the entire body of the target and even targeted the Soul that was being burned away by the grace of the Holy Light.

Everything evil and dark was washed away as the Alumeth's body soon cracked apart, and soon enough, only a lifeless husk remained that fell on the ground.

Just as one of the Sequences 6 Beyonders of the Cult of the Dammed was killed, Gotrik didn't stop there as he continued his onslaught on the other Sequence 6 Beyonder that he was fighting and managed to sever the right arm of the Sequence 6 Ascetic.

With one of the arms of the Ascetic being severed by Gotrik, he delivered a finishing blow before the man could do something as one of his waraxes cleaved off his head cleanly.

Meanwhile, Mellisandre also finished the two Sequence 6 Necromancers on her end became when she finished burning down their Undeads, they proved to be virtually defenseless and thus she just literarily came to them and slit their throats with her dagger as they tried to defend themselves a bit.

Most of the Necromancers, without their Undeads, were just pigs waiting to be slaughtered and were not any threat. Many of them were too arrogant to properly explore all of their abilities aside from Raising the Dead, and most of them didn't even know many Spells, and their mastery over the rest of their Beyonder Abilities was relatively low.

Mildly said.

But with the death of the Beyonders of the Cult of the Dammed, the remaining Undead under their control immediately went into the dormant state for a few seconds, before they started going berserk and attacking anything and anyone around themselves.

With the death of these Beyonders, the entire expedition of the Cult of the Dammed was wiped out, which was practically great news for everyone else. Valkorion looked at the course of the Alumeth Alard with great delight because now it was the time to collect the loot.

Which was his favorite part of the job.

Collecting loot always delighted him to a certain degree and was the most rewarding part of any good adventure. Right now, Valkorion was especially eager because he was going to loot someone who was a direct disciple of the High Sequence Beyonder, so he really wondered how much he was worth.

He really hoped that this one wouldn't be another of the poor bastards or someone who was very cautious and didn't bring anything valuable with him to the expedition, which was rather common among the adventures, explorers, and Beyonders.

He really hoped that his master would give him some really good things because he had already noticed a Dimensional Bag that Sequence 6 Beoynder carried. As Valkorion took the Dimensional Bag from the still-warm corpse, he knew that Lady Luck had smiled at him. It was just a low-quality one, and it wasn't locked or Blood-Binded.

This was good because if it was of higher quality, it wouldn't be opened easily, and he would need someone who could open the Dimensional Bag for him, which would usually require a lot of Gold Dragon Coins.

And also a possible danger if the Dimensional Bag contained something really valuable because Beyonders that could open Blood-Bound Dimensional Bags were usually Mid-Sequence Beoynders, which was rather dangerous for Valkorion.

With the quick scouting of the possessions of Alumeth Allard's Bag of Holding, he was very pleased by what he had found. Aside from the Bag of Holding itself, which was treasure that was worth of several thousand Gold Dragon Coints, he found around 15,000 Gold Dragon Coins within the Bag of Holding, several things that seemed to be Sealed Artifacts that he would need to have appraised and there were also some pieces of jewelry and gems.

Obviously, then there were Beyonder Potion Recipes for the Death Pathway and some Beyonder Ingredients, together with some books on the Dark Arts and Necromancy or Death Magic.

One could say that this was really a scoop.

While Valkorion wasn't an expert in the appraisal of things, he knew that the overall worth of all of these things was easily over 50,000 Gold Dragon Coins. Perhaps even more if they were sold to the right buyer, but he knew that some things he wouldn't be selling for certain.

If this amount was changed to the Westerosi currencies, then it would be around half a million or so due to the purity of the Valyrian Gold Dragon Coin, which had the highest percentage of Gold among all the coinage that was used in the Westeros and Western Essos.

As unfortunate as it was, all the books and scripts for the Dark Arts and Necromancy were something that he would keep for himself. He could see that it contained rather advanced knowledge on the topic, probably because this was something that was given to Alumeth directly by the High Deathpriest Isodirus of the Cult of the Dammed.

This was really a grand loot that he had obtained.

With this, Valkorion knew that he could start the project of building his Mercenary Company sooner and at a much bigger scale because he didn't need to limit himself.
