Chapter 170 - Duel of Blood and Eldritch (Patreon)

It didn't take long before the pause in between the Tournament of Catomania came to an end, as another of the duels started today. Everyone was already in the stands and attentively observing the next match, as this one would be one of the most entertaining.

"Contestants of Group Five, Altrouge Brunests of the Pale Bloods of Yharnam and Riga El Menuhyutt of the Kadath City, get ready for the combat."

The voice of the referee, who was one of the Cathulhus, sounded through the grand arena as both contestants got ready for the fight.

This time, everyone was more nervous because practically every single person present was eager to see the Champion of the Kadath City, who was one of the favorites for the winner as he originated from the most powerful faction present. 

Yet, at the same time, his opponent was no pushover either, as she was the Eclipse Princess of the Crimson Blood. One of the most powerful Pale Bloods of the Old Yharnam, the Holy City for the Vampires and all of their subspecies. 

She was a direct descendant of the Brunestud of the Crimson Moon, one of the frightening entities that ruled the blood and night. She looked like a fifteen or fourteen-year-old human girl with platinum-blonde hair and shining crimson-red eyes. 

Not only that, but her teacher was one of the most powerful Magicians in their Chaotic Source Dimension. While the Pale Bloods were right now living in the Unicron Chaotic Source Dimension within the Starveil Origin World, that was only temporary for the time being. 

Meanwhile, her opponent, Riga El Menuhyut, was a massive, monstrous entity wearing a purple cloak with four arms, one pair being much larger than the other pair, and two wing-like protrusions on either side of its bulbous head with a single eye nestled in its mouth.

It wears golden bangles on its smaller arms and rings with eyeballs on each of its fingers. Its wing-like structures host dozens of eyeballs that spiral around randomly. It looked grotesque, partially disgusting, but it was fitting for the Eldritch Entity of the Kadath.

Now, everyone realized one sole thing as they looked at the Riga El Menuhyut...

Fledgling Outer God.

That was the sole thing that ran through everyone's mind when they saw the Champion of the Kadath City. This was probably the worst conclusion and surprise of the Tournament of the Catomania that the Champion of Kadath City was a Fledgling Outer God.

"Fight!"

The moment the referee started the fight, Altrouge Brunestud unleashed her strongest move right from the start. She knew that she didn't stand a chance against something on the level of Fledgling Outer God, even though it was at the peak of Tier 3.

The disparity between them was too great, but there was one thing that she had in her arsenal, which she would at least use to level the playground to be more equal.

"Reality Marble Descent: Millennium Castle Brunestud!"

In a split of second, the entire area of the Grand Arena morphed into a different environment, as the entire reality was changed to fit the Reality Marble of the Millennium Castle Brunstud, the pinnacle of Magic. 

Reality Marbles is a concept that centered around the materialization and projection of one's inner World onto reality following the Thaumaturgical Theory of World Egg. The created worlds are completely cut off from normal reality, projecting their internal landscape and sealing off the regular World.

Following the World Egg Thaumaturgical Theory, the actualization of a Reality Marble is the result of switching the Self and the World while keeping the boundary the same. The size of the Self and the World is switched, enclosing the World in a small container while the Self is expanded. 

In the place of the Grand Arena, an enormous crystalline castle appeared, spiraling to the heights of the sky.

Several moons materialized around the crystalline castle as they were orbiting around the castle, interconnected with the structure as an enormous amount of Magic were being congregated in the place. 

Hundreds of chains materialized as they connected themselves to the Altrouge Brunsted; as she looked at the Fledgling Outer God Riga El Menuhyut as all of them shot towards the Eldritch Entitity faster than even most of the Chaotic Origin Lifeforms could see. 

Contrary to this, the Eldritch Enitty released a wave of invisible energy that targeted the chains as they broke into dust, but to the visible surprise of the Eldritch from the Kadath, the dust started reforming itself back into its original appearance. 

The Pale Blood Vampiress grinned at this, as the Moons orbiting the Millennium Castle Brunestud were pouring a tremendous amount of Magic, which didn't escape the attention of the Kadath's Champion, as his eyes shone with familiar blue light.

From the observer's stands, a few people were surprised to see this, more precisely those of the Ōtsutsuki Clan, because this ocular ability was the very same as the one that Qianye Ying'er awakened after she ate the Brahma God Fruit. 

All-Seeing Eyes of God.

With a single glance, he targeted the connection between the Moons and Millennium Castle Brunestud, as in split of a moment, a black flame appeared in the air and started burning away the Moons that were orbing around the battlefield.

 This was extremely powerful Reality Marble of the Pale Bloods, so it wouldn't be destroyed that easily, and with a wave of her hand, crimson red energy burst out from her body that rewrote the reality itself and the Black Flmaes disappeared like they never existed in the first place.

While the Reality Marble: Millennium Castle Brunestud was supplying her with a tremendous amount of Magic and had frightening offensive abilities, to such a high degree that even Riga El Menuhyut was forced to take the duel seriously, its strongest side dwelled somewhere else.

It was Reality Warping that allowed her to perfectly counter the Eldritch Entity and Fledgling Outer God on the battlefield almost perfectly. 

To defeat Reality Warper one needed another Reality Warper.

Such was the fundamental truth.

Or else, on needed to have overwhelming high power and some unique abilities that couldn't be warped by the Reality Warper, but such people were sometimes even rare than even the Reality Warpers themselves.
