Chapter 109 - Formation of the Congregation of the Kadath (Patreon)

Valkorion observed the two people that he had dragged into the Noah's Ark: Millenium; though he didn't recognize the first person around, when he looked at the second one that had appeared in the Noah's Ark: Millenium, he almost froze in his tracks.
Even though his memory was rather murky about that aspect, he remembered the illustrations of a certain pope-like cosplayer character rather very well, and when he had seen the second person that was dragged to the Noah's Ark: Millenium, he knew that it could be only him.
Adam.
But...
He knew his backstory from the canon of the Lord of the Mysteries, but alas, he already learned that he couldn't depend on his knowledge from the canon in this world. It usually meant nothing, as even the Pathways were very different.
Still...
In the canon, Adam was known as the Angel of Imagination, was one of the Kings of Angels from the Third Epoch, and a child of the Ancient Sun God. He was born as a Sequence 1 Author with the Uniqueness of the Visionary Pathway.
Later, it is revealed that Adam's true identity is actually that of the Ancient Sun God. After 'He' was dead and the traitors feasted on 'His' remains, and when the True Creator was born, 'He' awoke inside Adam, who inherited 'His' Divinity.
Valkorion knew that in the ancient past, The Third Epoch had ended with the cataclysmic event known as the Fall of the Ancient Gods. Even though he wasn't sure of Adam's purpose and background in this world, he strongly felt that he was someone related to the Ancient Gods as he was in the canon.
If such was indeed the truth, then it was also highly possible that he was once again the puppeteer that was pulling the string in the world or at least in some continent so he could recover his long-lost glory and power.
Even though Valkorion was confident in the capabilities of Noah's Ark: Millenium, he decided to be extra careful about Adam. And now that he had thought it over, he would need to be careful even around the first person that arrived because he had a hunch that this was becoming some gathering for the villains or so...
"Please sit... I am the host of the gathering, Mercurius and I am honored to welcome you to this gathering of the selected individuals across the time and space."
Valkorion said as he saw both Adam and the other man sitting down. He could clearly see their faces and everything, but they couldn't see him or each other due to the blocking of Noah's Ark: Millenium that was taking care of it.
"Please choose a Code Name that you will use during these meetings. I like the idea of fair and equal exchange. You can use what you can attain to exchange with me, or people like you, to exchange for things you want. But remember, they must be equal in value… During these gatherings, the members could exchange resources, information, and practically everything that you can think of."
Valkorion stated as he carefully observed the two men sitting there without a change in their expressions.
"Then you can call me Mephistopheles."
Soon enough, the other man, who looked a bit older than Adam, at least in the aspect of appearance, spoke with a low tone.
"Machina."
Adam was a man of a few words, apparently. For the time being, all three of them just sat down and didn't say anything as they were just observing each other. It was a rather interesting sight because it seemed like they were waiting for each other to make the first move.
Valkorion knew what was happening...
As nobody knew the identity of each other, aside from Valkorion, who recognized Adam, they were trying to fish for hints about their identities. It wasn't really that they wouldn't be able to find out anything because every single word would tell them something.
Valkorion, who was aware of the identity of one person already, needed to find the second man who was summoned to Noah's Ark: Millenium for the gathering and chose the Code: Mephistopheles.
"I would like to obtain information... or rather confirmation of the rumors that have been circulating in the Fargrave for some time already."
In fact, it was the first visitor, Mephistopheles, who spoke as the first one as he mentioned something that caught the attention of both Valkorion and Adam.
Fargrave.
Both of them were very well acquainted with the Fargrave, albeit from different sources.
Valkorion recognized the Fargrave from his rather deep knowledge of the lore of the Elder Scrolls and knew that it was something akin to a neutral grounds between various Deadric Princes, and it was a neutral Plane of Oblivion that didn't have a singular ruler.
Aside from that, it was a place where people across many Planes of Oblivion.
If the purpose of the Fargrave was the same as it was in the games, then Valkorion knew that this was someone who was living in the Fargrave for whatever reason. Knowing the background of the Fargrave from the lore, it wasn't really that plausible that this was someone who chose to live there by their own choice.
Most probably by the choice of the circumstances.
Valkorion was unaware that his thoughts were aligned with those of Adam, as the future Visionary was subtly observing the man sitting opposite to him and listening to him talk, meaning it was clear that this was a fugitive on the Faerûn.
Most possibly an enemy of the Faerûn's True Gods of the highest order if he was so cautious that he didn't dare to approach other people from the Faerûn in the Fargrave, and there were a lot of them there.
Adam knew that if someone was so careful even in a place like Fargrave, then it meant that this was the person who had earned the ire of all True Gods of the Faerûn, which was rather a considerable achievement, in fact.
He didn't even though what could have led to that, but he was sure that it was something very important. Not to mention, the person should also be someone very important in the history of the Faerûn who was hiding in the Fargrave.
"What rumor?"
Valkorion asked as he was genuinely curious what rumors had reached such a distant place like a Fargrave from the Faerûn. He has barely left the Freehold, or rather, he never even left the territory of the Valyrian Freehold, so thinking about Fargrave, which was an entirely different world, was making him excited.
"Some of the Dragonlords are saying that the House Targaryen of the Forty has left the Freehold and that they warned the Valyrian Freehold that it would perish as the Doom is coming."
The moment he said that Valkorion could see how Adam's eyes narrowed in something that he would tell was surprised, but the man was too good at hiding it as he wasn't really sure about what exactly he was surprised actually.
It could be about the rumors itself, it could be the fact that they had spread to the Fargrave, or was it possible that Adam didn't even know about that?
No...
Valkorion ruled out the last possibility as something highly improbable.
