Hey, let's get this show on the road. Who's ready for more sad boys?

I always have some insightful commentary while I'm drawing the pages but when it comes time to make the post my mind is blank. I feel like I've become a bit predictable in how my chapters start and end now even though there's only been 6 but I'm developing a pattern.

But anyway, don't worry. This chapter isn't gonna be all dark and gloomy. I'm just glad to have it started back up.

The mountain shot was just gonna be one panel but I liked it enough to just make it it's own "page." But I would feel awful if I had just uploaded that and said "hey new page. its just mountains."

Dude.... This is so... Heartbreaking? The scenary is so devoided of color and life. You can almost hear the silence and the creaking of wet wood. This literally gave me chills, amazing job man

ziskeit

Yeay!!! So gorgeous 😍 the light and mist in the mountains is amazing

Van

it's beautiful!

Chateau Adib

Okay but I want to visit those mountains in real life. Also is that SONNY??!?!?!

Megan Pawlak Arts

Welcome back to the main story ;) although I did enjoy the side one too. I’m sooo excited to see what Mack is going to do

Diego P

Breathtaking!

Malik M.L. Williams

Beautiful way to bring us back in. Yeah, you can feel the hush across the misty mountains. Well done!

Ari

then come on over to the smokies in tn

Chateau Adib

in the Before Times™ I spent a day in Knoxville and didn't have time to get to the mountains but I saw them as I came in and wish I'd gotten to get closer

Ari

if only i could make a whole comic out of establishing shots

Ari

I always feel a bit weird replying with "thank you" to everyone's comments but I do read them all of course. And thank you.

Naturally, I will always advocate for you to be able to do things at your own pace and not to rush. But I'm not gonna lie, I got what I'm sure was a really stupid looking smile on my face when I was surprised with this notification. Excited to see what chapter six has for us.

That is a really beautiful landscape~ You captured morning in the Smokies so well~ 😍 Incidentally, I'm seeing this at 7am in the Smokies, so if I left the house right now, I'd see this~ 💖 (I mean, not that I'm going to... it's way too early, so I'm going back to sleep. 😴 Actually, now that I think of it, I haven't been out around dawn in forever... 🤔 I was wondering why this felt nostalgic even though I still live here, but yeah, it's probably because I've staunchly avoiding getting up and doing things early since school, so I've rarely seen the morning smoky, blue mountains in years. :o I see the evening version quite often though, so I guess it's fine. :p) Also awww @ the second page. D: So lonely while working hard... Good luck and be careful, little one! >.<

Ari

I'm jealous. I'm too far west and out of the mountains. It was always the best part of hiking though. Getting up on top of the ridge before the sun came up.

Your paneling and environments have gotten jaw droppingly gorgeous in recent months, even more so than they already were ✨✨✨🔥🔥👀🔥

I've never been a morning person at all, so I only have very vague memories of hiking up early like that as a young child (back when my parents could actually get me up and outside at those hours, haha), but that does sound nice indeed~ You've just gotta come back and visit then. XD Well, I mean... maybe not right now... winter is not especially conducive to hiking unless you're daring, and the mountains aren't all that blue when they're short on leaves... 🤔 But if you go up on the Blue Ridge Parkway or other lookouts you'll get the nice snow views, at least! So there's that. :p Anyway~ Though hiking at dawn is only a very vague memory for me, the mountain I went over to get to school when I was younger has several spots where it's clear of trees and you can see basically this view~ Not that I especially enjoyed getting up extra early to go over a mountain to a school about which I was ambivalent at best... but the views are nice, in any case. :p Spent a lot of time looking out the window, hence the nostalgia. 💕

If you live there, you get mixed feelings about it. Slight trama kinda thing, having grown up in such an insular intolerant society surrounded by so much beauty...

Melita_H

Yeah... For me I always kinda separated it as: the side of the mountain I lived on was "Good"... but the side of the mountain I went to school on starting in 5th grade (there was a tiny school on my side of the mountain until then, but it closed and we all had to go to the still small in general but many times bigger than the previous one, and generally not very appreciative of our sudden arrival), not so much. >.> So indeed, the views while crossing that mountain in the morning conjure an assortment of emotions... but the views themselves were always Good, so there's that. ^^

Sunny! Also I absolutely love the pages Ari, they're gorgeous!
