Hey everyone! Time for the very first Dev Log for Corrupt House! I’ve been putting in a lot of work behind the scenes, and I wanted to share some of the progress with you all.

👁️ Enemy AI

I’ve been spending a good chunk of time making sure the enemies feel smart and threatening—not just mindless chasers. I won’t spoil the details of how the AI works (I’d rather you experience it firsthand 👀), but just know the enemy will keep you on edge and force you to think carefully about every move you make.

🔥 Enemy H-Scene Encounters

One thing I really wanted to improve compared to my past games is the flow of encounters. I always disliked the black screen cutaways whenever an enemy caught you—it felt jarring and broke immersion. This time, everything is seamless. Transitions between gameplay and enemy H-Scenes happen naturally in real-time, keeping the tension alive without pulling you out of the experience.

🛏️ Game Mechanics

Beyond AI and encounters, I’ve also been working on new mechanics :

Hiding under beds to evade danger

Opening and closing cabinets to search for items

More environmental interactions to make the house feel alive

🤝 Development Update

I originally teamed up with someone to help on the project, but I’ve decided to return to working solo. I’ve learned that I do my best work when I’m on my own—things just flow more smoothly without extra complications. Don’t worry though, this means I can stay fully focused and keep the vision for Corrupt House clear and consistent.

That’s it for this dev log! Thanks so much for following the development of Corrupt House and I’d love to hear your feedback. If there’s anything you’re not a fan of, let me know in the comments, it’s always easier to make changes early in development than later on.Stay Corrupt,

You know, the censorship is also pretty jarring. I know you eventually sell your games on DLSite but, would it be possible to have a non-censored version for your Patrons?

Deveria Studios

Yes, Sorry I forgot to mention that I will be making an uncensored version of the game.

LETS FUCKING GOOOOOO!!!

It sounds super promising so far! I love all oyur other projects so I can't wait to be able to start testing and eventually play the full version :)

I don't know if it's one of the monsters planned in the game but it looks a lot like the one in another game called "The Sexorcist"

Deveria Studios

damn, I guess someone already made a game with the one of the characters I planned on using. But its ok, that game looks horribly made and I plan to add other characters later. Since i'm no longer working with the character designer I got the model on the internet.

Wait I though I can play for the demo…. I was fooled😑

More nurses with gloves please >:) and maybe more female voices from these encounters It kinda sounded odd

Thank you for your work. Since we can add our feedback; it would be great if the faces of (some of) the enemies can be human like; for example I'm not a fan of 1-eyed.

Deveria Studios

don't worry all enemies in the new game have are human like.

Great to hear! Looking forward to the first demo. Can I also do a different suggestion? The strength of your games is the excitement of feeling powerless vs the female 'enemies'. This feeling is strongest during chases and to optimize this I would recommend to change moving speeds in such a way that the enemies will chase you for a much longer time. To make it harder to outrun an enemy, I suggest to: 1) Lower the "run" speed of the human player, relative to the normal walking of the main character. In previous games the difference was way too big ("running" was way too fast). 2) Make the enemies speed similar to the walking speed of the main character. This way, the excitement, is to turn around and to see the enemy still chasing: it makes you feel the continued threat. 3) Finally, just as in Corrupt Descent, I loved the small dead-end corridors. If you could combine the above with making it harder to outrun the chasers, the excitement would go through the roof; the moment you realize, you are still being chased, yet you have ended up in a dead-end corridor, and there's nowhere you can go. Perhaps you could make the dead-end corridors even a bit narrower than in Corrupt Descent.
