So hooked on this show. What a great premise.

Thicketdweller

When I watched the premiere of the show over the weekend, I was just blown away about its precision These people know how to make a story, both visually and verbally interesting

MrDeadstu

The thumb says XFiles, but it's not, what is this?

Vina

I’m excited you guys are starting this! I watched the first two episodes already and I’m really enjoying it, I’ll defer watching more until your reactions come out!

bullettbot

please watch the second episode!

Thicketdweller

Josh Alex, You are not the only persons I have heard say that Apple TV is turning into prestige TV that HBO used to be

T’Pynyn of Vulcan

Vince Gilligan returns with the same crew he's had since the start of Breaking Bad. I was so much looking forward to this series and it did not dissapoint.

Michael Papak

What an awesome surprise drop! Great first episode. I’m definitely looking forward to more reactions.

T’Pynyn of Vulcan

I listened to the official podcast. They tried to do as much as possible with practical effects. They even built a whole fake neighborhood. It is amazing what went into the production. I think VG having the same crew for 20 years really enhances the quality of their film making.

Sam Langanke

Where are the two remaining DS9 episodes?

Scribe31oz

Okay, I hadn't intended to watch this but since you guys were doing a reaction, I thought why the hell not. Damn, I'm glad I did, that was a great pilot. I'm in now. Another reason I'm grateful for my subscription. Thanks guys. Also, Apple TV is honestly the best sci-fic channel at the moment. Murder Bot, Foundation and Silo. On the comedy front, Ted Lasso and Shrinking featuring Harrison Ford producing a career best perfomance.

Gavin Hewitt

Was NOT expecting this! Amazing show so far

Phantom Lake Games

Watched this the other day and just watched it again here! I went into this with the limited premise / marketing information that was put out beforehand which thankfully was very vague, but even so it was pleasant seeing the reactions of those who knew nothing going in!

JordanK1991

We are literally DYING for those two remaining DS9 episodes.

Comrade of Chaos

They made a series based on my life? I don't know if I should be offended or honored 😅

River Acheron

woah! This show is FIRE so far! Thanks for this reaction! And thank gawd I have Apple TV so I can watch it with ya. On to episode 2! ps: Please check out Welcome to Derry. :P

I'mliking what i've seen so far and since it's Vince Gilligan I gotta think he knows where its going so it wont be like Lost

Mark Simonson

You mentioned the comedic element with the news graphics when they are talking to her on the TV. I also thought the bookstore reading had a similar comedic element. For instance, I'm pretty sure "speculative historical romance literature" is not an actual thing. Sort of a funny mashup of speculative historical fiction and romantic fiction. Also, her fans and the book itself.

Captkirc

Two favorite franchises: Star Trek and anything Vince Gilligan. You guys are a now a one stop shop of awesomeness

Brian Moore

Wow, what a cool show so far. I’m so eager to watch episode 2 I’m not sure I can wait for you to post it. I wish someone else was with me when I was watching so they could have heard me say I bet it was A/T/G/C like a genetic code being received in the signal.

Captkirc

Ironically the writing process with VG shows has always been fly by the seat of their pants to he and his writers was just better at doing it (and I say that as a fan of Lost). Vince described it as writing ourselves into a whole then figuring out a way to write his way out of it.

Captkirc

You guys picked up in the stellar cinematography which is something you alway appreciate when it’s good on Trek. Starting with season 2 of Breaking Bad these guys have been imo the best ever when it comes to direction and cinematography something that’s extremely noticeable in Better Call Saul. As to practical effects Vince Gilligan shows historically didn’t get huge budgets but Apple has given them 15 mil per episide and thus far it’s been out to good use. Having followed you Trek reactions I had a feeling you’d like it. I recommend you guys put this up on YouTube as it’s right now a great time to maybe bring in new Subs as this show is extremely popular and also make sure the Patreon notifications work in this show if you do future ones because at least for me that is a big way to see what’s new.

Matchstick Jose

Definitely do feel like Apple+ is the premium streaming service right now. Their sci-fi offerings I’ve watched are good to excellent, including Silo, Severance, Foundation, and For All Mankind (a Ron Moore show worth checking out). Also love Slow Horses, Shrinking, and Black Bird.

EmptyDice

Am I the only one who has a hard time with Vince Gilligan's protagonists? Other than Mulder and Skully, IMO Walter White and Jimmy McGill are some the most annoying characters in TV. The side characters are what kept me watching both shows. WW and JM were arrogant and somewhat impulsive, now this Carol character has the arrogance and the impulsiveness ramped up to alcoholism. I've watched Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul in the background as I worked since the premise was very uninteresting to me, at least Pluribus has one of the most interesting premises I've seen in a long time. How do we feel about discussing theories in the comments? I have so many hypotheses about what is happening/going to happen, I'd love to discuss them with a Star Trek and X-files fanbase!

Doug

Wow this is a cool surprise, didn't expect yall to be watching a currently airing show

Doug

For All Mankind is excellent

E Parhas

When he said it's not quadinary code I immediately was thinking woah it's got to be DNA.....it was RNA but close enough
